If you are minded to get this phone, DO CHECK the specifications very CAREFULLY as there is considerable variance on the web and even on Samsungs own pages, not only on this model alone, but in comparison with the Omnia 2 GT I 8000. Including, but NOT limited to:
The effect of not being 3D in relation to GPS
HSPDA speed
Camera features
Geo-tagging
Speaker phone
Camera flash
Voice dial

Anonymous, 09 Oct 2009Orange are doing the Omnia 8000 but the B7610 pro is not re... moreI rang O2 yesterday and they said the OmniaPro is being released under their network on the 19th October, deals and orders can be taken from mid of next week so around 12th to 15th october...looks good im after a smartphone and this seems pretty kitted out and i cant be bothered waiting for the Xperia X2, anyone else recommend a better smart phone that isnt the iphone?

Doubtful that Vodafone will do either as they messed up previous Omnia by adding their own software and lost shed loads of money as a result. O2? T Mobile?
Samsung make great phones but the way they release then in the UK is the worst without doubt. No aided by the carriers. Winmo updates is proabably not helping the situation and they always hint at phone rather than release then just before the Christmas frenzy starts so as to generate "desire" - actually it makes most of us run to another brand, but you tyr getting them to understand it. Even Samsung claim they do not know which carriers will have their product -yeah right! Sit and suffer and waste time trying to buy phones from the stores - its a great first customer experience!

CPW told me they weren't selling this handset only Orange, Orange told me they knew nothing about it but to try P4U, P4U had heard of it but couldn't tell me anything about it so back to CPW.
This time (another store) they'd heard of it and are doing it but don't have any in stock. Priced from £350 and above on PAYG or sim free for £380 but could not tell me anything else.
I question whether this phone really is actually out in the UK yet because it is impossible to get hold of! That and none of the stores seem to know anything about it. Almost every store I went into thought I was asking for the Omnia II or HD !
