This will be my next phone. Looks totally awesome.. Did you know that Samsung even managed to autostartup the phone for alarms? Omnia 2 are the first WM phones to do that..

I forgot about this awesome beast while browsing over in Omnia II/HD sites.

Anyway if this one has just even one 3G band for U.S like the Omnia II and at least 16G internal then I DEFINITELY WILL BUY this babe over anything else by the end of this year.

Why? Why Samsung does not make its internal memory spec like Omnia II. Only deal breaker should be the keyboard.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2009thanks for the information about business card scanner. But ... moreA computer algorithm designed to decipher writing. Similar in concept to software that can work out what song you're singing when you sing into a microphone.

..., 21 Aug 2009hmmm... tough choice between this and the n900Agreed. The Motorola Sholes, too.

Hopefully they'll all be successful and lead to a whole bunch of high-performance QWERTY sliders.

Anonymous, 21 Aug 2009may someone help me? what s the business card scanner exact... moreIt's a software program designed to "read" text in photographs, mainly used to turn people's business cards into contact details without typing anything in.

They kind of work, but are far from the most accurate of programs.

george, 20 Aug 2009assume the hspda speed impacts wifi web browsing?HSDPA doesn't effect WiFi speed whatsoever. It simily means the max speed over 3G is slower, assuming you're using a 3G network which runs at over 3.6Mbps.

The Omnia Pro has the standard b/g WiFi.

Why cant Samsung have a word on d exact release date of this phone(b7610) like nokia do? We have waited for so long considering earlier news that it would be released in JULY.Samsung should know that with d coming"nokia world 2009"by september 2-3,this phone wil be rendered useless especially with nokia new microsoft softwares.NOTE that this b7610 has big downside with 65k screen(WMo),only 3.6 HSDPA,only 1Gb mass storage & so cant thrive in Q4

Wow id really like this phone, it may not look as appealing as its brother the omnia 2 but its still apealing and has good features. I heard it costs less than $750 in Australia

                                    I read somewhere that:
"Mobile Tracker, similar to the ones on other Samsung phones, is available on Omnia II (and obviously on omniaPro). This application allows you to preset a number that the phone will send a sms to when it detect a different simcard is inserted. What's nice is that even if the phone has been hard reset, the settings are still there! This knock off any other alternatives out there in the market!"
                                    IS IT TRUE?????
