Samsung brings Camera Assistant to Galaxy A-series phones

Samsung’s Camera Assistant app brings plenty of useful tweaks to the stock camera app ranging from faster shutter speeds to adding a 2x zoom crop but it has remained exclusive to the flagship Galaxy S and Z Fold/Flip series phones until now. The Samsung Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 running One UI 6 are the latest devices to gain support for the Camera Assistant's features with a direct download from the Galaxy Store.

Camera Assistant also brings an automatic lens switching toggle, Quick Tap Shutter and the ability to disable Auto HDR as well as a Soften Pictures to combat over-sharpening. Given that the Galaxy A53 and A54 are now supported we can expect Camera Assistant to arrive to more Galaxy A-series phones in the coming months.
