hi kishore,
this is bhagyesh. i kinda need your help in connection with the above subject. i recently bought this handset and not yet able to configure its internet capabilities. i have read your reviews on gsmarena and was happy to know that i shud be able to use internet thru my pc by connecting samsung c230 with an usb cord (or irda- if its working) . i had specifically planned for this while purchasing this handset. can u plz tell me which cord did u purchase,cost, location etc.? and which of the listed softwares are required to be installed from in.samsung website and also the procedure to set up the connection.plz help me in this regard soon, as i am thinking upon returning back the handset if its not going to be internet-thru-pc compliant.
also; i have a bpl prepaid connection and wud like to know which is the best gprs facility provider network (quality & cost wise).

I have bought this phone recently. I also bought(separately) a data cable with the CD having the EasyStudio internet suite. The problem is that USB data cable provided along with the CD is not able ot detect the modem inside the phone. The software suite provided alongwith is of no help. Someone please tell me which software to use for this phone, and where it can be downloaded from.

I am from Latvia!!! I cant speak in English very well, bet this phone ROCKS!!! Great look!! Black!! Infra red!! FM!! I really like it! i bought it some minuts ago!! Where can i get USB cable??? is avaliable now??? Samsung the best!!!!!! peace!!!!! :DDD

i like the phone its looks are awesome but the only problem is its IR.do any one knows how it works.can i download tones and pictures through it from pc or any other mobile.

phone is sweet both in look and function.
BUT THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH IT IS THAT IR IS NOT AT ALL FUNCTIONING.so iam a little disappointed.Do any one has this problem?

The only difference I knew is that
x140 >> has mono radio
c230 >> has stereo radio

Being a Nokia fan for years it was hard to turn to the C230. I have to get a phone with IR & FM-R without a camera (I've got a N3200) and this seems to be the next best choice after the N6810 which is not available over here. I just want to be sure of the IR capability of this phone (its not listed above as available, whats up with that?)... can it be used to transefer data to a pc and to connect to the net?

Yes, facing the SAME problem through datacable also.
I think the phone is not designed for PC Link. Only GPRS.
Anyone have more inputs on this?

HI tried to connect this mobile to laptop through IR port. Sdly, only the sms's got uploaded. There seems to be some bug in the software of the phone, because it doesn't upload the phonebook. Furhter, when I wanted to send some wallpapers to the mobile via the IR, the option is not available in the software of the mobile.
I had downloded the latest softwares given against this C-203 model. Does any one else find similar problems. What are the solutions for this problem?

well, C200 is newer then X100, display is BETTER, plus C200 got ANSWERING MACHINE ..which X100 doesnt, my opinion, go for C200... memory is essential if u recieve more MMS etc..

I would like to buy C200 (no FM & dual band). But I found X100 has similar features with more memory. Can anybody explain the difference between them. Thanx.

and now it doesent have bluetooth eventhough its a recent model is dis to curtail da price.. and plz temme if we can transfer images from computa .... and i read i can tranfer only data via IR den wats da use....
some 1 plz explain me how to tranfer pic'z..and can i get new ringtones ?? and
da use of IR if any !!!

Does this cell phone have InfraRed?
MyMobile magazine has reported that it does not. Is there a special version without IR launched for the India market?
What is the price in INR in Mumbai?

Hi Sumit,
Price of Data Cable was 900 rs. and ya its from Samsung. (but now i know other cheap cables are also available. but anyway. the samsung one is working fine.) If you look for non-samsung, ask for samsung X430 cable. i think they are compatible.
Yes i surf Internet through this GPRS phone. i connect my phone to PC with this cable and use everythingn of internet (mails, surf etc.etc.) but you need GPRS enabled mobile service provider. mine is Airtel. the rent in my area is 150 rs. flat. no other charges (air time etc.) at all. it works.
no datacable from samsung without any software/cd. others do give cd.

What do u mean by surf GPRS thru PC. does it mean that using d data cable & c 230, u surfed internet in yr pc.?
