SA, 04 Aug 2009hi, software applications are available for Samsung GT C301... moreSamsung call centre guy's told me that the file should not exceed 300KB in size and you have to download the file directly through your mobile. If you download the application to your PC and copy to Mobile it will not work. See the size of .jar file you have downloaded. Please confirm if this works.

hi, software applications are available for Samsung GT C3010 in getjar.com, but having problem to download/install in phone.there are some error message like "java error IO exception",java error content size too large". Are these realy for this phone?
Some application need exit previous java and install new java to download. Can any body tell me what i need to do? Thank you for your support.

Use either a generic Version there of opera or search by display size, do not search by phone name. try both .jad and .jar to download in the same folder, and run both till you succeed.

Dear Friends,
Is it possible to download and use Opera Mini,Google RSS feeds, etc on this mobile please... I like the design of this mobile but Opera & RSS feeds are MUST for me. When I called Samsung Customer service they said only jar files are accepted. What they really mean by this? My consideration is mobile with good sound clarity and browsing below 5k.

Nokia 3110 classic is much better. you can download software (fring most popular application for free phone call, chatting and more. It supports java and very goog for browsing and all other features are better than c3010 except music quality. So it doesn't worth buying only for its music sound.

Overall a good product for its money, but as per current standards the camera is like from 5 years ago. Sound quality is ok for music but in terms of talking on phone, it really hurts the ears after a while and the sound quality is like one of those Chinese ones.
My biggest problem with this phone is that the SMS capacity is just 200!! That is very low compared to current standards. Even the E1410 has more SMS capacity!!
Not bad, but not good either.
