Hi Aka,
This phone does not support Auto lock on/off setting.
BTW, WMV video format is not supported (wrong spec)

i brought this cell today. very good cell indeed. nice sound quality. i find one thing annoying i.e. it used to lock automatically, have to unlock again and again during making calls. is there a solution, please inform me if there is.

Both C3312 and star 2 duos under my budget. I want one which is best for me.

S s5222 - 20mb.
S c6712 -30mb.
In Nokia touch & type is also a good option.
For my opinion is go for
SAMSUNG C6712 STAR II DUOS is the best in your budget.

The old Samsung Champ which was quite a popular model, was also available at around the same price. And now the vastly improved 2.8" QVGA, dual SIM Champ Deluxe Duos (C3312) touchphone is available for Rs. 4,000. There's also EDGE, USB 3 with A2DP and stereo FM radio. Little wonder that Samsung has left Nokia far behind. All their phones, irrespective of the price point offer great value.
Note: EDGE is good enough for browsing while on the move, and even tethered to a laptop/PC.
(I've been using a Samsung Android 2.1 3G fone for about a year and a half. My only complaint is that Samsung hasn't made the provision to upgrade the OS - at least to Froyo (ver. 2.2). This would have enabled apps to be installed on the SD card, thereby enabling one to get around the limited storage available on the fone.)
