dual standby means you can actually recieve messages at the same time and you can see both sim card updates on messages or missed calls.. and it can both recieve calls at the same time.. in short.. much better than just switching-sim phone like nokia c1 but they have finnaly this so called nokia x1-01.. dual standy also and good, but its not the same with this samsung c5212 features.. see specs.of (nokia x1-01)

I'm using it since few days..since 2yrs I was uning SAMSUNG Star(it was OK) But in C5212 SMS Capasity and sending problem... It's sending one by one from a group or others on that time u have to wait and have 2 press exit from ur mob. I think "It's Total Samsung mob.'s problem"
Still C5212 have exlent call facility...

I need an answer.I don't know what is dual stand by, but to tell you: on this phone you can recieve calls on both simcards at the same time so you don't have to choose between them and when you want to make phone calls or send messages you can switch between sim cards with a simple button... It's a perfect phone as a dual sim but it's just that it's a basic phone with its menu and functionnality! I also had a problem with its melody ringing quietly for a few seconds when you recieve a call! I don't know if it's my phone or is it a bug with the model...

I am buying the phone last week. I am not able to do internet via bluetooth.can anybody help me....in the phone the internet connection is ok...but when i try to connect with pc it is not working.even though i can not get proper pc suit for it.

Hello everyone,
I have this phone since two days, and I noticed that when someone calls me, the phone starts ringing at a very low level for about 2 or 3 seconds before to suddenly increase ringtone volume to maximum! I also checked the ringing mode, and made sure to set it on melody and not on increasing melody! But the problem is still there! Do you have the same problem? Or is it just my phone?

Worth every penny your pay. Lots of features and really a nice phone to have. Just love the quick sim switch button. Battery backup is decent too. Hope this helps someone who wants to buy it.

so lets say u have 66 messages each with 480 characters, thats counted as 200 already! so theres no more space, get it? still waiting for nokia c2-00, as a replacement for this phone. but as of now im pretty contended with this one :) im here in manila btw

one of the best. battery standby time is 9 days, lasts 3 to 4 days despite heavy texting, battery lasts about 30 hours on 1 bar! only problem is the 200 texts limit, even worse is if ur message has 480 characters its counted as 3!

i cannot call from the other sim untill i select it as default and restart. is there any other way to call from both sims without restarting the phone?? pls help.
