This has to be my favorite Samsung phone, especially because it has Wi-Fi.

I remember this phone as it has been the only phone that lasted very long. i had used it for 9 years. The only phone i could say i enjoyed very much back in those days in the past years that gave me fond memories. unlike the phones now where they damages very quick, this phone was very strong, it fell so many times yet it worked very well. The chrome didn't want to work for a while after a few years but the memory the phone have was enough for all the pictures i used to save in this phone. sadly i don't see this phone in anywhere anymore in my country

Yeah sadly it wont work today for most, networks dont allow GSM only phones in majority of "western/modern" countries. Central EU here, no go. At first seemed locked to an operator but now that it shows up GSM only... GFY advancement, WTF does one need 3G for making calls and forced to carry around gigantic phones.

for some reason, even with a SIM card adapter, I get an error along the lines of 'simcard defective, call your service provider'. any ideas? i use t-mobile

Can it be unlocked off T-Mobile? Can it have original startup? It has WiFi which is nice.

browser and bluetooh is too slow. after using 6 month trackpad stooped working. samsung care take 2-3 month to repair it and after 1 month no rslt than buy a new trackpad for 800.no support from dealer and care.
