Samsung Connect Tag has 1 week of battery, helps you track what's important
The market for smart trackers is still very much in its infancy, but that's about to change now that Samsung is getting involved.
It's first smart tracker - the Samsung Connect Tag - is the first to use narrowband network technology (NB-IoT, Cat.M1) in a consumer mobile product, which helps it achieve 1 week of battery life. It can connect to Wi-Fi and GPS and works with smart home appliances. It's made to work with Internet of Things devices.
The Connect Tag measures 4.21 centimeters in width and 1.19 centimeters in thickness and is IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.
The Connect Tag has geo-fence support, which means it will alert you if it leaves or enters a predefined location - such as if your child enters school or your dog leaves the yard.
There's no word on pricing yet, but the Connect Tag will be sold initially in South Korea, in the coming months.

Nokia Treasure Tag had been there for a long time. Even the color matches the phone’s color back then.
