The back is written galaxy s so why it is samsung continuum?

      Yeah I took my Samsung apart to get to THE connector to my phone so it can charge I have open it all up aand disconnected the small plugins in the back of the sinci did I put back all together I tur. It on and if shows the. Screen ut when I move my thumb across the screen it doesn't want to side open

          This phone is horrible!! I've struggled with it since almost day one. It locks up constantly and will randomly turn off (which is really handy when it's my alarm clock!!!). Do not for any reason get it.

                  does this phone need sim card or micro sim like iphone 4? i have phone from u.k. but i can't operate it. i need to activate it and want to used local sim from the phil. can someone give me answers. really appreciate it. thank you!

                              I don't think this would work in the Philippines. The PH uses GSM/UMTS and this phone has neither. It's in CDMA, so it doesn't use any SIM card

                                AWS, CDMA, and GSM are different type of radio frequencies that carriers/phones use.

                                  CDMA equipped phones have a very quite different working type than GSM. GSM phones use sim cards to get signal and provide the communication while CDMA phones use no sim cards and are in contact with the network that supplies communication for immobile home phones. This kind of (CDMA) phones are like your settled home phone which you can carry whereever you go as far as I know.

                                        nath, 27 Dec 2010what's the difference whether the phone is GSM or not?? hel... morethink of it as a an upgraded, digital version of the old PHILTEL & EXTELCOM cell service of the 90's. doesn't use any sim cards like globe or all the rest of the mobile providers in the phils now. so NO, you can't use this phone in the philippines.
