u can move the contacts from phone to sim, but unfortunately one by one. :)) i don't find this option now ... but i heve seen it ...

hello .... i have a D500 and i have a problem. i can not make the settings for mms. as i read on several forums this is because of an uncompatibility beatwen phone soft and my network provider. my pfone was bought from germany - "e-plus" network. i use it in romania - "connex" network. is there any code for unlock this mms service or should i re-soft it ??? please help me with this.

The first 20 messages goes directly into the SIM, but after that, the next messages goes to the phone. This is regular on samsung phones, and cannot be changed. But if there's some messages among the 20 first you for some reason want to have in the phone instead of the SIM, simply open the message and press the left soft key and choose "move to phone memory" or similiar. And vica versa. Same thing about E720.

wots this about the D500 using .avi video files I was aware that it only played mpeg and 3GP? Can it play avi files?

Hi all D500 fans,
Let me share a wonderful tip on how to activate the built-in speaker phone.When call is connected. Just press the "ok/i" button to toggle between speaker phone and non-speaker phone. It is loud enough even without using the PLUG-IN speaker(called the sound mate) that comes with it. This is not in the manual. Yes, default incoming SMS goes to SIM card. Does anyone know how to set it to go to phone memory? Email me or post here to share.

Does anyone know what kind of video extension the D500 supports? I tried uploading wmv and it didn't work. It came with a quicktime video footage, just wondeiring if it only supports .avi, mpg,mpeg? I need HELP!!!

has anyone noticed that on some of the pics, or animations on the fone [for example the o2 animation if you have it on o2] that you can kinda see where the colours seperate so theres kinda lines. i dont know what you would call it but ive become really curious over it cus my mate dropepd my phone the 2nd day i had it :( the lemon lol :( can someone email me and tell me if they can help please, thanks :D

i realy need a new fone but i ait too sure wat 1 to gt? hu has any sugestions for me?? i am on contract and wud lyk to gt a fone free wit camera, video, and blue tooth i thot mayb samsung d500 but is it worth it? ive herd it is a clever fone but i wana no if its gd cos ive also herd very bad comments bout it and that it ait very gd:S plzzzzzzz help meeeeeeeee!!!!!:D:D:D fanku

any1 else getting fed up of people saying the D500 has 80MB user memory when it has 96MB user memory? You guys obviously haven't deleted your advertising videos and MP3's the phone has on when new.

i have recently trashed my sam sgh E-715. anyways i used the flashlight feature many times. since ive completely trashed it im planning on buying the d 500 but i need to know if there is a shortcut to the flashlight like the e 715. with the e 715 all i needed to do was hold down on the side button can the d 500 do the same?

How can I copy all my contacts from my phones memory to my sim as i only seem able to copy from sim to phone but not phone to sim. HELP ME PLEASE!!

using this phone was very easy to start with
and as a nokia user of many years that was a bonus
camera and video was good for a phone
i liked the mp3 player but wish it could store more tunes
also the battery life could be a bit longer
blue tooth was ok but still working on all the functions

i have recently bought a samsung D500
i wud like to list out the positive and neagtive things abt it
+++The look is superb
+++Its slim and slider works well.
+++The colors are good.
+++The sound quality is good.
--- No shortcut to lock the keypad.
--- While zooming and increasing the brightness level while takeing a photo,
the mobile makes a screechy sound and there is no means to mute that.
--- While Zooming in/out a taken photograpgh , the process is so slow and also it makes so much sound
and also it makes sound
--- No Mute button in MP3 player.
--- Cannot minimize the MP3 player.
--- Cannot connect to bluetooth when MP3 player is opened.
--- whenver tried to connect to bluetooth for the first time to another bluetooth it asks for some pass key.
--- cannot zoom images downloaded from another bluetooth device.
Still not done with exploring the features of the Samsung D500, so expect some more positive
and negative comments.

hello im just wondering will a sim free phone work and if so will the camera and mp3 player all work as a man in an orange shop told me no i want orange pay as you go in this phone thaks geraint
