I've had my D500 for a week now and while I agree its a stunning looking phone I'm afraid thats all the praise i can give it. I did have a Samsung E700 which I loved and I now feel I want to change back. My problems with the D500 are:
1.Camera, For a 1.3 mega pixel camera I was expecting it to be better that the VGA camera on my E700 in my opinion it isnt. Where the E700 is bright and sharp i feel the D500 could do better. When in camera mode the screen tends to flicker not on E700, Zoom is jittery where as the E700 is smooth. Also when you take a picture it shrinks from a full screen picture to half screen!! Whats that all about?
2. Software. It take 12 key presses on my D500(i'm with orange so dont know if software setup is different on other networks.) to send a text message!!! Even trying to access a recieved text is a pain. It's also quite awkward to write a text I found I kept pressing the wrong buttons and wiping my message.
On the up side it still is a smart looking phone i like the MP3 player and video function but I think I'll have to change it I dont think I could live with it's down sides for a whole year. This review is my own opinion, But i'm no expert.

Can anyone please tell me when this phone is available in Australia.
Does this phone have a zoom on it and if so is it a 4x zoom etc.

The greatest ever I think, Just won the best GSM phone for 2004.That explains it all,all d other companies tell abt their products,but the award tells it all,I'm waitng till it comes to Sri lanka....

beautifull but no expansion card slot..SE W800 is more atractive..I am waiting

Im very keen on this phone, twice ive gone to my shopping basket and not confirmed :P
Does this phone have a message counter? (all phones should really as its so useful for non-company users)
Ive been looking at a couple of games that i wouldnt mind getting, Sensible Soccer being one :) i havent seen that its available for this phone, can anyone elaborate? This and another are the only games id probably ever play.... why is it Samsung dont seem to be high on the list for mobile gaming?

this phone is not a AAC player as my friend is on orange and he cannot play the sounds i send him through bluetooth, it only excepts mp3 which he has to download himself

Juz got this phone 1 day ago, it is damn small and cute phone.. Like it very much. Like the functions, the clarity, the resolution and everything abt it! The black colour is very classic too. The best phone i ever had! =)

It may be a fantastic little phone but for all girls with nails... because of the style, either cut your nails off or you can't text! Total bummer.

Best Phone ... but i prefer the 2100 the cheap fone n easy to use since i cant operate complecated phones. too difficult for me since i m a slow person when thinking is involved. and yes vimal is my life cant live without him. the love of my life

This is the best phone there is I wish I can buy it...although it has some draw backs but like all which are on the market right?. I think the extra things in it over pass the bad thing....peace and thanks for Mr. Imran Memon for showing me the light

This is a good phone. But I think the best phone is the 3300 the old phone cause it is cheap and I am a cheap person so I can't buy this...that's why I say the 3300 is good... and I love Vimal too

I have recently bought my d500.I used to have k700i.D500 is much more stylish and equipped then my old one.It seems very nice but I prefer 6630's menu instead of d500.But as I said before ıt looks great and camera is perfect.

I think the phone it's great.I'm very pleased.But it has one BIG problem:doesn't ring and vibrate at the same time.Does anyone know a program to put vibration on mp3 files??Plsss......Thx

I think the d500 isn't as good as everyone is makin it out to be. The ringtones will only vibrate then play tone not, it wont play it together like the 6230. There are no profiles for likes of work or general. No call recorder but the 6230 has. 6230 has a good navigation on folders u can create them delete them move them. D500 has none of these options. My opinion to this fone is its looks great has a good screen and good camera THATS IT !!

Ive heard there is a slight delay when taking pics with higher quality. Not only on the D500, i suppose this is because it has a megapixel camera.

i have a question bout dis fone as i am goin to buy it soon. when u turn the cmaera on does it take a long time to focus is it like the se k700 camera when u move the fone about does it take long for it to focus can any1 plz tell me plz plz plz

well,to connect my d500 to my pc,i bought a bluetooth adaptor and plug it into my pc,then just transfer files via bluetooth.its a mad azz phone!
