great phone, if you like crap. not compatible with any file types. bluetooth is unreliable, buttons are too small, the screen is very grainy and wank.
i had a v3 for a short time. i sold it to buy this shit. now im depressed. and to top it off, everybody in the whole world already owns this phone, and there all the same bloody colour!

i just got my new d500 and it is a great phone. the mp3 player is graet eventhough it can only hold about 20 songs. the camera is also great, as is the video recorder. the screen also is very impressive. the mp3 ringtones are one of my fav features on the phone, as u no longer look cheap with your polyphonic ones. no problems with the bluetooth or infrared so far anyway. and finaly the phone looks amazing!!!!. i recomend this phone to anyone with the cash. (10/10)

Cab anybody tell me if infrared can sent mms to another phone??and if blutooth can connect with an other phone like NOKIA and SONYERICSCON ? ? ? Please tell me! ! !

Denny, about the Nokia and the D500. I ordered the D500 because I just like (love?) this stylish phone. It was not a rational decision, because I need a carkit with it. This carkit is expected to be released Q1 2005. Furthermore accessories are not yet or limited available. If you value this you would be better of buying a Nokia. Further the phone cannot be upgraded or whatever. Again not a rational choice, but I love the damned thing. It’s a job well done by Samsung.

Hi i have noticed a strange thing about the d500. There are actually 2 different versions of the phone and only the logos on the answer and end call buttons set them apart. If you look closely at the end call button on the pic of the d500 gsm arena have shown us, there is a little phone reciever icon and a power on/off circle below it. On other pictures over the internet there is a little stroke instead of the circle. Also the phone reciever logos are different shapes on both phones. How can this be? Is one American spec and one UK spec.

because its convineant mobile geek. its like everyhing in one! as for me i wont be needin the mp3, all ill use is the camera and the videorecording facility and maybe download some porno vids! the only thing that is concerning me about this phone is the fact that the buttons to the right of the ok button make really loud clicky noises e.g. i'll press the buttons on the right of the ok one and one from the left side will start making a cicky sound as though its being pulled down with the button im pressing and then realeasing itself making a nasty tacky clicky noise in the process! is this a characteristic ofthe phone or is it a problem? do you think i should take it back to the shop? has anyone else experienced this problem?
