i think that the d 500 is great to use but sometimes i do have a bit of trouble with it. whene i switch it on it always goes back off. it takes me normally about 5 minuites to turn it on. but appart from that i think that it is really good. i only got the phone because of the slidey part cause it is really fastenating. thanx for reading my opinoin all you people out there.

the d500 is great. but the thing i need to know is can i get ma usb to work i installed everything and i put the usb in but nofin works. thank u.

I think this is a great wee phone!Has loads of memory, Iv never had any problems with it. The only down side is that its a bit bulky.

i have a problem with my d500 phone it switchs on ok but wen i switch it on it goes all fuzzy does anyone know what i coukd do plz

It's a good phone. does all i want it to do but it's been two months now and the screen just went blank, i.e. it shows a white blank screen. Sometimes it would come back to normal, but for now it shows the white blank screen
I went to a phone dealer near me and he says i need a screen and a flex cable but they don't have in stock, so right now i with my white blank screened phone waiting for a screen and flex cable. other than that its a good phone to have for music, phonebook contacts and games.

I also started with this phone, it was very cute for about a year, then I dropped it and the entire navy-pad went wonky, then I dropped it again and the navy pad worked again, but the top of the screen went white! So, while I know that it was my fault that it dropped, what if next time, somebody left it somewhere and a cat knocked it over? Then you need to fork out alot of money to fix it, and in South Africa, parts aren't exactly abundant. Anyway, some advice, get a phone sock, or one of those covers that you can buy.

I bought this phone around October 2006 and I have had no problems with it at all. I can use every feature on the phone without any hassle.

By all means my Samsung D500 has been good to me ever since I first bought it in Oct 2005 it was one of the first types with a slide. However, after owning many samsung phones through the years, there is no doubt in my mind they are unreliable, very breakable phones, this one is no exception. The other day after one and a half years, the vibrating mechanism has broken. There are many small functional operations when using the phone which I don't like also - such as the RINGTONE AND THE VIBRATION cannot work at the same time i.e. in sync. Also writing sms's could be alot more user friendly. The front screen is very easy to scratch. It's a chunky phone compared to others. And you cannot use your own msg alert tones. Apart from that it has been alround good. I am in the market for a new phone now and I think i will look elsewhere other than samsung perhaps a nokia or the new lg kg80 chocolate phone which has a touch screen.

i have this phone and the bluetooth is crap it dosent let u play ure music after u got bluetoothed something

To imad. i would like d500. but i got sony ericsson k750i. its grt fone. but i wud like a slider fone. my son has d500 and its nice fone.

I have this phone for sometime now and had to change the ribbon 2 times and until now the screen is still out, I cannot see anything on the screen and at present I can only receive calls cannot dial out any at all. Maxine Jamaica

you need to contact your service provider ( i.e o2 or orange.) for the web browser setting which will then allow you to access the gprs on your phone.
