having bought the fone in south africa but staying in new zealand this fone does not work properly here cause they dont have the software but awesome fone the best i have had in the last 6 years

just purchased the taiwan version (D508), only one prob. cannot access internet,"error, network unavailable". probably set up for the asian internet market. called cingular i/t. they couldn't help. D500 not in their database. can anyone help? thanks.

Yes this phone is amazing, but the new D900 is worlds better if you can believe it!!!!!!!

Unable to answer incoming calls occasionally. The slide does not work, neither does the call answer button. I have to remove the battery to stop the ringing. Phone is presently with repair agent for the 7th time in 8 months - same symptoms. No luxury of swop-out offered by Samsung SA.
Handset is only 12 months old.

Samsung D500 is the best!!! Indeed it is the toughest mobile phone I had ever had...

hi pls i've been usin this fon for 14 days & i hav never been able to activate either blue tooth or infrared.any time i try to activate it , it fail.can u pls help me out?

have used this phone for one year it is a nice one but sometimes the screen goes blank thus no text display cud you help me sort this out coz i dont want o dispose it

I have just accidentally put this phone through the complete "delicates" cycle wash in my washing machine, and I am pleased so say that for the first 48hrs it looked like it would never recover, the inside of the screen has condensation but it two days sitting on a towel on a radiator and it works perfectly again. NB: plse note that having researched repairing/cleaning the mobile, they say that no repair shop wants to take this phone apart as it often does not go back together easily. Samsung-what a brilliant phone.

I've been using this phone for about 2 years and it's still searving me well... been looking around for new phone, but can't seen to part with it after accompanying me for so long... sigh... if Samsung is going to upgrade the features and keep the sliding system n design, I'm going to get this same phone again.

can u update the camera in this phone. its an awesome phone. just needs at least a 2meg camera
