Okay, I bought this phone unlocked 3 months ago and I love it! The problem is that I cannot access all the features. I can't send MMS messages, establish a functional email account or access my WAP browser. If you have this phone and Cingular as a service provider, please email me. I could really use the feedback. Also, if anybody has a good reference for a Bluetooth headsset for this phone, I'd love to know about it. I tried the Samsung WEP-150 and was not impressed. Thanks!

This phone looks great but to be honest i dont think its really worth the money! i was playing around with my friends' d500 and it jst seemed like a boring phone, it wasnt even tht easy to use... i think i'll get the e370 since it looks quite similar and is wayy cheaper and new :D

Predictive text is rubbish.... number of times I have to spell a word and save it, only to have to do so the next time is ridiculous. Found the ring tones limited and downloads do not sound too good on it. Limited skin colours. Good points are length of text you can send, slide design and graphics.

Honestly, do not try them. Do not even think about it. I've owned a Samsung D500.. When I got it I thought it was brilliant. The bottom line is their phones are cheap Korean merchandise with a top dollar price tag.
My D500 for example.. About 9 months of use and the sliding mechanism has gone to hell. It's jerky and takes effort to actually push back into place. I used a brand new one last week and when I felt the difference I was shocked at how much it had deteriorated.
Samsung plastic is also the most budget corner-cut material I've ever used. It's so prone to scratches that I have more marks on my 9-month d500 than on the nokia 3310 I used for 3 years during highschool. Now that's saying something.
Samsung screens likewise are complete junk. They have very poor refresh rates and if you stare carefully at them you'll notice they fade in and out of minor blurs.. Maybe not an issue to some but compared to a quality Motorola screen they're far from solid. Also the quality of the screen is about as low as the body of the phone.
Now, if you don't believe a word I've said then fine. But in all honesty, I recommend to everyone, if you are the type of person who wants to get good long use out of your phone then you should stay clear of Samsung. If you're the type of person who has a new phone every 3 months on the other hand, they're perfect for you.
I'll leave you with this last note..
In the OFFICIAL SAMSUNG WARRANTY fine print it says that damage to the phone due to 'Everyday wear and tear' and 'Excessive use' is not covered. I am not lying, look it up yourself. USING YOUR SAMSUNG PHONE VOIDS THE WARRANTY! How's that for a nice joke?

this is a brilliant phone.i've had it for about a year now and it's held my tracks, pics etc decently...however, very recently, the screen goes a weird darkish purple shade after a while on standby (i've also noticed some multicoloured dots at the top edge of the screen when this happens; they then disappear when i switch off the phone and switch it back on again)...
