this phone is different from others, to see ur contact name, not click the button above c/clear button. instead of clicking tat button, click the button above the reject/end call button.

this phone is crap.....i have 3 phones seeing that i have to travel and need phones of different types(GSM, and such) i have d500, e730 and SE 700i. this is the worst out of the three....the reason why the reviewers gave such a high reason is because they only used it for a couple of weeks to couple of months at max. if u use this more than 4 months, u will definately feel the need to change and fix about everything in the phone. tis includes sliding mechanism, screen and camera. VERy dissapointed DO not buy it, stick with e730 or SE 700

Bar style is not my preference but sliders are my personal rave -- I carry 2 phones a company nokia bar style that is vitally essentiial to lock the keys to avoid random dialing!!! My personal is a flip -- again cumbersome to find it grab it open it all before a missed call - yes I am that busy while on a landline as well -- good luck

I orderd d500; should be here in a few days; all the reviews sound great-can't wait; it was the 1st unlocked I ever saw 3mo ago- fell in techno love with it at 1st sight; My 2 daughtrs want the Razr - but 3 identical fones in 1 house will be utter chaos; I have E317 already & hope for another winner; other runners up are E810,Nokia 6111,Philips 960, Ericson W600; my ultimate dream choice is the Denim & diamonds ESCADA SL65 by Siemens--rugged yet refined my own shabby chique to a T!

if you want to transfer anything from your phone to computer, you need the infared or bluetooth receiver for your computer. Thats all, so easy. If you are using win XP, you don't need any softwares.
I like this phone so much, but the only negative is the wallpaper is too small.
the uppoer and lower theme bars are way too huge.

Jerry, there is no need for any special software.. jus get urself a bluetooth usb dongle and voila!! all's easy... i m using the d500 since a month now and i must say that i m very much satisfied with the phone.. photo modes like negative, sketch, etc are brilliant and the pics taken in proper light also look good on the PC.. no complaints whatsoever.. d500 rocks!!

Generally speaking, this phone is pretty good. but some setbacks are the lack in capacity for customisation as well as the picture quality if your picture is taken using the camera. if you like a phone that enables you to customise lots, conside a Nokia phone. those high end models. but of course, this samsung D500 is less lag than Nokia ones. So if you want a phone that's not laggy at all but yet packs in cool features like bluetooth. this samsung D500 is for you. But bear in mind. you cant customise it that much. yup. that's bout it. but overall it's one hell yeh good phone. i simply adore the design. it's so suede.
