I"ve got both mobiles the K750i an D600 i prefer the D600 because its the easies of the 2 mobiles the joystick on the K750i is not easy to use,but o.k the cameras the best an with radio it wins with that but the D600 is my favourite an anybody with the D600 get the clear plastic cases they sell on Ebay they are superb an cover all the phone an look brilliant only £5.50 no more scratches on your phone at all

I jave had a d500 for seven months and I love the phone. I'm thinking of upgrading my phone to the d600. But my question, does the d600 slide like the d500? Also can you have a video as wallpaper?

another thing about phone issue, why you can have a double entry on your contacts both sim and phone memory when the phone always gives the option in "Management menu" when entering a contact is to be saved automatically to phone or sim or you are giv asked by the phone if the contact is to be saved either on the phone or sim. Are that st**id that you can have a double entry on your contacts?

In general, i believe samsung displays all the contacts in sim and phone together so that there is no bother swithching from one memory to another anyway it is clearly indicated by symbols and labeled properly so that you will not be confused.

Ayayay, how dumb is the world now, always asking for better technology but cannot figure/sort it out how to use the technology.

                    Hey, everybody

About the phonebook issue, you can automatically search/ view your contacts on purely sim card alone by pressing 1 and then number sign (#). There you can view your sim contacts by location.

To those comparing these to other phones with those little but not actually an issue, maybe you have already made you point and decision. You always mentioning the issue of the d600 but never mention the faulties of the k750 and others. So go and get the forever ch**p feelin sony ericssons with out thinkin twice because d600 is only for the ever challenged people. Do nto bother to compare the two and stop you search.

                          to CR265:

you're right about those "old phones". I've had a Siemens C55 and it had the greatest agenda I've ever seen in a phone: I sure miss that shopping list thing (you can even send it by text message). Why doesn't Samsung think about those "little things"? I'm a heavy user and all these hi-tech phones don't seem to last. Let me see... SE K700i -one year; SE K600 - two weeks; Moto V3 -one month; Samsung D600 -have it for a week, just hope it lasts longer (hate the txt input!). Between the V3 and D600 I've had a Moto v360 and a Nokia 6030, and yes, 6030 has a nice calendar and notes and birthdays (and yes, it is cheap, doesn't even have a camera, but the battery lasts for almost a week:)
I was expecting a little bit more from my D600.

Hey, well im really deciding if:
one, go with T mobile for £16 get 750 mins and 50 texts (off peak to tmob and landlines)

                              OR

two, get a samasung d600 and nokia 1600 for £130 (both are 12 month conracts) and get 1000 mins any time any network

i know the second deal is better but i really want a good phone and a realiable one. what do you think i should do?
and is d600 comparable with the 6230i...
                              thanks :)

                                    Hi again.
Once more, a big thanks to all the people who took the time and replied on the issues of D600 (vs SE K750).
Even those who believe that we may be just young kids/students who prefer all the little useless extra's that mobile phones can offer". They can't be more wrong...
Let me just say that I have been using my little Siemend S55 (without having an integrated camera) for the last two years, having experience not so many problems with it.
Also, let me add that I have no personal preference (yet) on neither of the two brands above. That's a main reason I wanted to hear other people's genuine opinion on those two phones.
Today, I had a chance to take a close look to the Samsung UI and more specifically how their phonebook works. A very good friend of mine got her new Samsung E340 (yes it is NOT the D600 - I know) and she experience the badly designed way that the phone reads and handles the phone entries. As other people said Samsung does not give you the option to scroll/search only on one of your databases (sim card or phone's entries). Something that sounds...hm.. stupid maybe...? Even my 3-year-old Siemens S55 can do that...
Also, I felt so sad seeing my friend trying to input individual birthdays/anniversaries on a different section one by one, since the Samsung fields for each phonebook entry does not provide a "birthday" field that automatically will create a reminder in your calendar... Guys... again, we are talking about 3-4 month old phone models... the comparison to my old phone is inevitable...again this is a feature found in 3-year old phone models.
So, yes, as a consumer who is "forced" to buy a new mobile phone I expect the minimum: that is, 3-year old features should be included in the highly-priced and oh-so-stylish phones in today's market...
I don't think I am asking for too much...
In any case, I am gonna test-drive both K750 and the D600 myself this afternoon (thank God, I have finally found two other friends who recently got them) so I will make some people in this forum/thread to feel happier...as they might not be "bothered" anymore...
                                    :-)
Thanks for taking the time to read and reply.

                                    Have a nice weekend.

                                    Best

Technology is supposed to be there to make our life better and easier...
