I have the d807, the volume for some reason is very low, sometimes i can barely hear the other person. also samsung need to do something about the limited filename length. i have to cut all my mp3 titles down to 32 letters and it can be really frustrating. the exterior feels really cheap. the sound quality of the mp3 player is not as good as moto or se, when i am out of the room i cant even hear the phone go off. the design, clarity, expandable memory, and camera is good but thats about it. i had a slvr and a s710 and i think those phone would beat the quality of this phone overall. i would rather get a motorola or se then a samsung anyday after i tested this phone.

            To Christina:

I hope you get this on time...

1)the d800 is a tri-band(900/1800/1900), d807 is quad (has 850MHz)- which means that you can make a call in any part of the world.
2)Also, d807 has a microSD card slot which is very necessary (as least for me).
            3)D800 has a tv output, while d807 doesn't.
4)D800's display is higher in resolution, but it really difficult to see. I don't think the lower resolution display is a big drawback in d807.

Personally, american d807 is better than d800.

            Good Luck!!!

                To roger:

The battery life is good, the only reason why people say it wouldnt last a day is because they play music and games continuously and what kind of bisiness people would do that?

                    To Christina

Both phones should be the same, it is just that the firmware / software is slightly different, usually the language it support is different, but they should all support english. eg I know D808 is the version they are selling in asia and support chinese.

anyone correct me if i am wrong.

I was so tired to wait untill Cingular gets the nokia n80 (i live in US); finally got the d807. I should say I'm quiet happy with it. Thin, nice-looking, pretty smart, has a microSD card slot. Just wish it had a 2 megapixel camera with flash and higher resolution display.
I think that microSD slot is what makes this phone great, much better than the European version.
Anyways, everybody switch to Cingular=) !!!

Wow, just bought the Cingular USA version of this phone and I can't wait to go back to my t809(T-Mobile branded D820). The keypad is cheap, it seems like a rubber shield the dentist uses when you are getting a root canal. The slide is really tight too, had to use some force and the thing popped right out of my hand.

Samsung oftenly claim that their D series is for business people but the battery life is contradict to their claim. Considering the battery life..It's a kid phone for God's sake! I just wondering will samsung release their phone (especially the D series) at least 450 hours standby time and 8 hours for talk time... Hmmm neeehhhh i think it will be xenium series of philips (yup that real business phone)...
