when u sent out going text select the option send 'save and send' then it will be saved to ur phone while sending sms. the phone will only vibrate in the silent mode...no sound

can someone advise me as to whether the D840 automatically saves your outgoing txt messages or whether you have to choose the option for it to send, and also when you set an alarm for the morning and your phone is on silent, does it wake u up or does it just flash on the screen. And finally can u select your own sms tone or can u only have the ones that samsung provide. IF anyone could answer these questions please could they e-mail me. Thanx

I have the K800i and its fantastic. If you turn the general backlight down it saves the battery life alot and you hardly notice the difference. I liked the look of the Samsung D840 too when they first came out but they seem to have alot of problems with them. Stick with the K800i. The camera pictures are 100 x better.

samsung d840 or sony ericsson k800 ?? currently have sony k800, but its like a brick, battery life was supposed to be excellent but i think its poor. does the d840 have the option to set the alarm to go off automaticcly everyday on its own ? or do you have to keep enableing it every night ? really like the look of the d840

is there any limitation for the sms inbox ?? ( serius issue ... as some fones hav dis limitation regardless of available memory card )

Hi guys! ...i get this phone today!! ...id like to know,how to make kejpad mute in normal mode(loud)?? ...becouse in sound settings there is a options for keypad tones,but it is in black(so i can not change it)...why?????

The samsung D840 comes standard with 6 Wallpaper images and 14 ringtones what you can do is download music you like (i.e Akon - Smack That) What ever you like and when you select the music you want you click on options then set to ringtone. It's as easy as 1.2.3. Same with wallpapers you can take a photo of anything and set to be your wallpaper. Good Luck P.S. I love my Samsung D840

Hey guys! How do you do? Please help me with something. I just got this D840. Now I have a problem with data transfer using the bluetooth service. I tried getting some things from other guy's devices but my phone promts me to enter a pin/password to match with those guy's pins/passwords. Tell me about this pin/password.

theres 14 on there and xtra wall papers go to display settings and wallpapers. when u get to main display press the I info button in the middle and it will take u to more wallpapers. do the same with ringtones. press the info button and default ringtones will come up

Where did you get 14 ringtones you lucky bugger??? In my phone that I bought yesterday, I got only 1 dumb ringtone and 1 dumb wallpaper!!!
On a more serious note, anybody has any idea how to increase the number of ringtones??

Hi,
I am using Nokia N73 music edition and Samsung D840 (Crome). I like D840 rather than Nokia 73. I dont find any issues of freezing and other problems with D840, phone is real cool and design is excellent. I hate my Nokia N73, real slow phone even when anti virus is disable. SAMSUNG D840 is a good choise and I am happy with it.

CALL RECORDING: YES (may ppl dont know about this option)
MP3: Yes (but speaker volume is not loud).
Resolution: Clear
Video Format: mp4 (real good)
Camera: 2 MP (but Nokia 73 is better, it has 3.2 MP "good results")
Design: WOW! :-)
I have added 512 MB micro SD (Rs 999 /-)
