My D880 wrks normally with single SIM, but when I insert second sim and power on the phone it stucks on welcome screen and fo nothing else. Previously I was giving the message insert sim for sim 2... Please help anjumnaseer@yahoo.com

what the heck! i thought i will be able to answer calls on both SIM simultaneously,or may at least indicate a call waiting, to my suprise it basicallly shuts down the other SIM if u are on a call on the other, as such u cannot be reached..........then whats the point?......i better get a bigger jacket that will accomodate my two phones,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

my.iphone.i.used.for.only.about.a.month.and.sold.it...my.sony.p1.
about.a.week,my.v8.with.built.in.2gig.mem.about.6months...
my.n73.almost.two.weeks....my.p990i.almost.a.year...but.
to.cut.the.story.short...only.my.samsung.d880.truly.serves.
my.purpose.in.its.entirety....its.what.i.expect.a.cellphone.
should.deliver...in.looks.and.performance.and.functions..

i.have.had.and.used.nokias,sonyericssons,motorolas...but.
i.think.i.would.stick.to.my.samsung.D880.for.a.long.time.
...imagine.the.convenience.of.having.two.lines.with.just.
one.phone....and.not.only.that,all.the.other.applications.
works.real.well...it.is.just.a.matter.of.having.the.phone.
software/firmware.updated.and.getting.to.know.the.phone.
entirely.for.you.to.really.appreciate.it....

i.have.had.my.d880.for.almost.a.month.now,and.i.have.no.
complain...i.had.the.software/firmware.updated.at.the.
samsung.service.center....,now.it.is.much.better....my.
sms/msg.tones.are.now.mp3s.and.not.just.the.built.in.tones..
it.is.much.faster.now...although.the.speakers.play.soft.
and.the.volume.is.so.low.when.listening.to.music.without.
headset,it.plays.marvelous.on.a.headset...ringtones.are.
loud.unlike.what.the.others.say.it.is.low...have.ur.
firmware.updated...it.cost.1.1k.pesos.here.in.the.phils...
samsung.service.center.greenhills///
as.for.me,i.would.stick.to.my.d880.till.it.lasts...

I hate this phone. I bought my d880 last September. Unfortunately, the first sim slot is now not working. According to samsung service center I have to leave the cellphone for 7 days or maximum of 2 weeks so that they can observe it.
I hate samsung!!!
I bought my phone for 14,750 php.

It generally works ok, but voice quality is very poor. Trying to use an mp3 melody as ringtone the sound is so soft you can't hear it at all, even at max volume. Worst of all synchronisation with outlook is extremely poor: Before the software was updated the phone would overwrite outlook data no matter what setting is used. Be careful, you may wipe out your complete outlook address book!!!Software has been updated but is still poor and synchronization is far from complete. Don't buy if you need this feature.As a previous Nokia and Sony Ericsson user I don't like the Samsung's menu logic at all, e.g. push the central button 6 times to take and preserve a photo? yuck!

change the type of pc connections to "mass storage"
it defaults to "modem" everytime the phone is turned off.

Hey I just took it out of the box but unable to charge the phone. (does nothing when plug) even tried charging with USB but it gives error and doesn't charge. :( anyone had silmilar problem or any solution?
