i bought one and so far not much problems i live in jamaica where we have two cell company's so for me the only problem i have is that there is no games on it my friend sells them and he has sold over 20 in less than half hour of putting them in his store

I used this phone, of which I purchased Int'l , and used Int'l with great success. I am looking for a solution to being able to use it in USA. Any suggestions would be appreciated. In USA I can only use one primary line and no service on the 2nd.

Have the very same problem , i tried everything . the contacts wont sync Only names get copied and for numbers there it shows a 0 or some garbage. I am jsut pissed off after using nokia so long i just dont know how samasung dont test these stuff.
Please help if anyone has a clue.

I wanted to buy that D880 but after I read all comments , looks like the phone is a failure for Samsung , The reason I wanted to buy thiis phone because I have a chinese brand less one with two sim cards and I thought Samsung would be better but seems that the chinese brandless fone is better as it has features that D 880 do not have , also the chinese better mobile is half the price of samsung d880

One major omission with this phone is its Text Message tone. There are only 4 of them, and the volume is so disappointingly low. Even the ring volume is on the low side. And i can't save the number of the person who texted me, presuming it's not yet in my phonebook.And the sound of line 2 calls is also low, barely audible in crowded places, more so when i'm using the bluetooth headset. Maybe you'd have some software upgrade in the pipeline to address these issues. Otherwise it's an ok phone, i suppose.

Hi There,
I'm interested in buying this phone, but I still have some doubts for some of the phone functions. Can you can help me enlighten my mind regarding my query.
1. Common for Samsung phone that you cannot personalize the message alert tone, does it support this function with this phone?
2. For calls and text messaging do you receive it both at the same time. What I mean is if you receive a text or call on the secondary sim does it show up immediately or do you still have to change sim functions to receive all the calls and text from the secondary sim.
Hope you guys can help me.

Bought the Samsung D880 today. Im from the Philippines. I tried installing the USB Drivers and the Software but whenever i connect the phone it says USB devices attached to this device has malfunctioned. It cant recognize it.. I tried it on both XP Professional and Vista Home. I cant sync it using the software bundled with it coz the software cant detect the phone.
I tried using the option on the phone that connects the phone if u want it to be used as a modem or storage device and i forgot the other one it still said USB DEVICE MALFUNCTION.
Wassup with that?
So far no problems with the photo quality, sound quality of both sim cards.

to sync phone and pc, please use Samsung PC Studio 3 and MS Outlook 2007 it work for me except the calendar and memo.

my feedback is this model why doesn't comes with flash. if its comes. this is the best.

My D880 won't synchronize contacts from the PC with the given PC Studio 3 Software. Only names get copied and not the numbers. One cannot even edit individual numbers from the PC in the phone. What a disappointment? I have it now for a week and I am still unable to use it because I don't have time to copy my contacts from the previous phone. Samsung response is too poor when I contacted. They don't have a clue. It does not need rocket science to provide an update software with a new phone.

Within 2 days that I bought the fone, the charger stopped working.Why on earth would a samsung fone not come with a mermory card? I am not satisfied at all!

For those who just bought the phone.
Someone made a comment that to change the SIM card you need to reboot the phone.
NO –NO –NO.
You do not need to reboot the phone changing your SIM cards/operators making your calls.
Just dial the number and press a tiny button on side of the phone (located above the level control).
This will change your SIM card from primary to secondary right away and for this call only. As soon as you finished your call, the phone will go back to the primary SIM card.
You will see on a screen how the SIM card gets changed.
I LOVE IT!!!

Hi everybody,
I bought this phone 2 weeks ago and I think that everything is ok with it except than the sound and voice quality of the second sim card.
The headphone and microphone sound qualities are too low for the second sim with respect to the first one. Anyone having this same problem?

I bought this fon one month ago and it was taking clear high quality photos. One day the quality just degraded. Could someone let me know if I somehow changed some settings which affect the quality of the photos from the fon?

To see your sent message in the "sent box", select "Save and Send" instead of "Send only" in the last menu before the message fly to the SMS center. It Works with my phone.

can i increase further the volume of the ringing tone? (highest is level 7) able to make it louder?
