I think samsung is only need a few little step to make D880 is a powerful mobile phone.
1. Repair the software compatibility with ms-outlook 2007 (I can't transfer outlook calendar form PC to Phone)
2. Allow user to create some short cut or change button key function. With D880 user can only change Navigation Key function and create user menu called My Menu, but its not useful, coz you can't create Main Menu, you only can create Sub Menu like "Create Memo" not "Memo", so if you choose "Create Memo" than you get a brand new paper white memo, so where is the other saved memo, how to open it? you must use the Menu, find Application, find Memo. My Menu like that is not make easier!
3. Allow user to disable T9 permanently and change T9 key with Back key (like Nokia or SE)
4. Allow user to access Carriage Return Key easily like Nokia or other. In D880 you must activated Sym first by press and hold on * key.
5. Allow user to change Browser key with something useful key
6. Allow SMS ring tone can play mp3
7. Allow user to use Navigation key left or right, not * key or # key to choose between Phone Mem or Card Mem while accessing My Files
8. Change Battery capacity for better phone life
Btw, now I like D880 duos coz its truly DUAL ON! and I wondering why Nokia or SE can't create Dual On Phone?
PS: Sorry my english is poor.

I just bought the D880 but when synchronize it with outlook, only names come to phone without the numbers so I have tried the PHONE EDITOR option in SAMSUNG PC STUDIO 3 & tried to create the names manually directly from the PC on the phone memory & I got the same result, only names are save.
Any one can help me with this issue?
thank you in advance

This phone is a wonder and already doing well in sales in Africa. Lots of people due to poor networks goes about with more than three phones. Now they have a great choice and thanks to samsungs ingenuity

Hi. I had this phone for one day. First of all I have to say I had some problems with the camera. It was impossible to take a picture and all was pink. I think was a software problem.
Than I want to say to all of you who want to get this phone. Be very careful because I think it's not made by Samsung. First it doesn't have the HAT/Samsung hologram inside the phone. Than the manual is not provided by Samsung and warranty is not given by Samsung. So before you get it look twice.
On the other hand the phone is quite cool. I liked it and it's kind of ok for his price.
Because of software problems they gave my money back. I hope Samsung will come on the market with a real product.

This phone is bad, where is back button? can't copy paste (SE, Nokia does), sms sound can't use other sound except the preset, difficult to use symbol (char enter or other symbol), predictive text can't disable! battery life is poor, btw model is excellent. think twice if you used se / nokia before. thanx

I have it.
Considering that the people who buy this phone buy it cause they need it, not cause they like the design I'll tell you some things about the phone compared to the D500. First of all, it is 2x slower than the D500. Everything you do, it is slower, (viewing files or entering and browsing the menu/writing sms, entering options menus of any kind).
The second it has a shitty display glass. I never had to clean the display of my D500. I clean this at least 4x a day as every touch with a finger is 4x more visible than on the D500. It is made of high quality materials. It is stronger than the D900, therefore it is not itching when touching it, but again, it is not as strong as the D500. The D500 seems to be a much harder phone.
I am in Croatia. It dosen't work with all networks. When using T-Mobile and Tele2 I have no problems. But inserting VIP sim cards into it causes the phone all the time saying "insert sim card", even if VIP is disabled or if the other sim card is disabled I get the same error message. Vip sims work only when they are alone in the phone.
You can choose easily between networks/sim cards when you are in the phone. There is a button on the side that lets you choose which network you want to use, when you write a sms, or when you are in the phonebook.
It is a business phone. I will probably sell it when nokia releases a phone that looks like the N95 8GB, but that isn't as ridiculously thick as the N95 8GB. If you don't need both sim cards at once, a dual sim card adapter (cut), is the best choice. But, if for any reason, you find yourself carrying two phones at once, this is the perfect solution.

This is my first samsung phone,I welcome the concept. I've had it for three days and i think it's a great phone. Two negative things that i have found are; (1) Unimpressive battery life, (2) Weak antena system that cause no or low signal where other (nokia) phones work well(I live in Jamaica). I;m looking forward to a nokia version.
