phone lacks very basic thing like switching to the second sim without powering off. otherwise a well planned and trusted cell phone.

music playback is annoying cant play all songs since they are gouped into playlists of max 30 n only has 4 playlists!! whats the use of a 2 gig micro sd then??

The dual sim module obviates the need for having two phones the same time. Quite convenient. I like the sound, camera and video. I also find the memo and document viewer sacrosant. The D880 is a phone I'm most satisfied with.

You are very proactive to said that all the phone manufacturer will adopt this Dual SIM technology at 2006

You can discover that most of the mobile phone is the dual card dual standby phone

i am not sactifies with this phone, cos the line 2 sound very low, sometime even can's listen clearly. i already sent it to the service center twice, but the answer is: Nothing can do. so sad! spent almost 1k, but get a rubbish.
what can i do?

Hi, I am using D880 since last one year, but from the beginning the camera quality is very bad. I mean it has some background like yellow or blue etc but not the real daylight pictures. Can someone suggest that it is a common problem or its only with my set.

What is the price INR and does both the SIM work simultaneously? Co's most of the Phones only hold 2 sims on Standby Mode.
when you are on Sim 1, can Sim 2 receive calls.

Hi, i have been facing a restart problem for the past two days, the first time i had this was a month back then disappeared, suddenly it started again.... when ever i receive or call someone the phone just reboots.....

I recently purchased D880. The only reason I went for a brand other than Nokia was this set's ability to handle two SIM cards at the same time.
Its battery life is very good, no complaints about that.
It comes with a PC suite which helps transfer the data to and from the phone. However, since I have very large number of contacts, and almost all of them have multiple numbers, I found that upon transfer of data, only one entry against each field was copied. The phonebook has maximum 1000 entries.
Regarding ease of use, this set requires some getting used to.

Yes. You can receive messages or calls on both networks concurrently.
You have to choose however, through which network you will answer, both voice calls and messages.
It is very easy to change the primary sim card, practically just afew button presses. The phone needs to re-boot, however.

used this phone for a year. the dual sim functionality works well, but not in the USA.
I liked: dual sim, big screen, ease of usb connection + charging.
I disliked: cannot type + when dialling, cannot type ' in messages, sms reply kept defaulting to sim 1, small keys, poor music player, poor games.
The phone eventually stopped recognizing my sim cards, and so I switched to another phone.
