Ok guys,
Want the information from someone who has this phone, loved it because it looked great and had some awsome features on the paper? Then read this.
Now, your probs wanting this phone, would recommened you STEER CLEAR.
Features, they sound excellent, especially for the awsome price. wrong. crap.
in the last 12months I have had this phone, now i bought it for $550 or something around that and, it is now selling for around $129, the reason it has dropped so much, everyones realising what better value is out there.
I have had this phone for a little over a year, and it is now broken. I am back to my old phone whilst I find a new one. It didnt snap, or physically alter, just began freezing up, jumping, the screen going fuzzy, and the other day, decided that the mobile phone graveyard was due for a new entrant; joins my D900i!
Here are some positives,,
looks nice and pretty
sounds good and nicely priced.. on paper..
has some good ratings if you look on the SAMSUNG website. =]
some of these features i thought would be nice:
3meg camera! wow.
price. wow.
music player.
image clarity.
value for money.
memory card storage.
bluetooth, and all the rest of that crap.
What I then discovered:,,,
CaMeRa

the camera, 3mp, sounds pretty good. wrong.
the camera is really slow, it takes ages for the camera to load, then take the photo, I timed it and it takes around 4.5seconds to take the photo, by which time the butterfly is now gone.
the snail is gone as well.
also, camera not great in some areas, have found that at times I would rather use a nokia 2mp camera and it works faster and more efficiently.

here it is how it is: loud music = fuzzy and unclear. not worth listening to.
Working system

has constant problems. cant save your images or videos directly to memory card and it takes agggeeessss to copy them over. so, there goes the fascination with that great feature, samsung made a mess of that.
also working system can be quite difficult at times.
there is 2 themes, black, or... white! how original.
you CANT change the message tone. =[ so personalisation is limited to black.. or white! yayyy

Considering how long I had this phone it didnt really last as it should, not only that but is features werent what I expected my new, most expensive phone ever, to live up to. I was disappointed.
The screen started to freeze, that brilliant screen, well, it developed a dead pixel, right when I bought it.
WAS NOT HAPPY
then it started to freeze later in life, I had to take the battery out sometimes just to unfreeze it, I couldn't even turn it off, it was that frozen. Considered sticking it in the microwave, but decided against that.

The screen would go fuzzy and the icons go weird, its hard to explain, but alround, it was just screaming, i am going to die.
I treat my phones really well, so this was a shock, so the phone system just died, not because it fell in water once in its life, it just died.
i have heaps of other stuff about this phone.
but i dont recommend it, its not great and id buy a nokia or something better.

i just heard that this phone can only zoom pictures made with its own camera, and can not zoom any other images recorded to the phone from other devices.
to zoom you need to use volume buttons +/-

dan, 23 Sep 2008to all nice guyz, please give me some advice.. 1. which o... moredont waste ur money for this phone,,go for the U600 or much better the G600,becoz u cannot transfer or files in memory card automatically,,specially the video,it will take u 8-10 min.before u can tranfer them in your memory card!

memory card is accessable through pc stiudio in other samsung sets..............then wats the prob with d900i

thnx rajesh for ur advice.i did wat u tell but i want to exchange ma stuffs directly using the pc suit which is possible in other samsung handsets . coz the process u said is time consuming becoz u hav to edit videos and other stuffs usin pc studio. isn't it a disadvantage of this phn? does anyone hav other suggestion?

i have this phone last year,,but i sold it last march.becoz,,it cannot save the pictures and videos directly to the memory card and it will take you 20 min.to transfer your 8 min.video shots! this phone sucks!

fahad, 19 Sep 2008samsung pc studio dont show the memory card while the phone... moreMemory card cannot be accessed through pc studio. For accessing mem card, go to menu/settings/phone settings/usb settings and select MASS STORAGE. Then connect through data cable. Mem card will be shown as a removable drive in "My Computer". Simply copy/paste as usual.
Before disconnecting the cable, do remember to click "safely remove hardware" icon in the tray (bottom right)
On disconnecting, usb setting goes back to the default- MODEM. Select this option for browsing phone memory through pc studio. Hope this helps.

samsung pc studio dont show the memory card while the phone is connected to the pc.although the card works in the phone............... so what should i do now?plz someone give me a solution...........

Anonymous, 23 May 2007how do i find the radio great phone, so far so good, i like the tv output part, you can record videos and watch them on tv, even silly things, you can really play with your phone, who cares about 3g, its gonna put you in trouble anyway.thanks.
