For the Mac users:

You can sync your contacts/photos etc using iSync. See:

http://macintoshhowto.com/phone/how-to-sync-your-d900i-to-macintosh-osx.html

Recommend you follow the installation mentioned in the comment of that page, rather than altering the iSync application contents.

I've just done it that way and Syncs easily via Bluetooth with my iBook G4 on OSX 10.4

how do you put your own screen saver on? also, how do you save incoming mms videos? are you able to save them in downloaded vidoes rather than just a folder in incoming messages?

(Perhaps it is your source of info)But I think the author haven't tested the method. Many people have tried this method but couldn't successfully install an application. We made official enquiries to Samsung and got replies as to install through wap from sites like 'Samsung funclub', no other way. There is a chance that they have forgotten to block usb installation in SOME BATCHES of production.

this is the way to instal java
            It is working

            Download:
            Samsung XXXX Java Uploader
            Softick PPP 2.21

Go to "Applications\Java world\Options" in the options menu go to the Network settings and fill in this:

            APN: internet
            Username:
            Password:
            Proxy: OFF

            Save settings.

Install Softick PPP 2.21 but don't run it yet. Connect your phone with the USB cable to computer and run Samsung PC Studio to check if it is connected right. If yes, close Samsung PC Studio.

Enter *#52828378# and select OTA Type Setting menu, switch from GPRS OTA to Serial OTA.

Then start Softick (not active yet) and go to "Settings\Device" if "ss_mdm0" is enabled. Check it.

            Set Softick to active.

Enter Serial Java menu #*5737425# and choose "PPP UP" and then "USB", load a JAD file in uploader and go in the menu to Serial download.

Watch the download and launch the software.

Switch back from Serial OTA to GPRS OTA to get WAP working.

does anybody use this specific model (D900i) with a stereo bluetooth headset?
if so, can you tell whether the FW radio can be heard via the wireless headset?
I know the wire earphones have to be connected in order to activate the radio...

I've ordered this phone as a replacement to my crappy D830...I hope I won't be disappointed with my choice. I'm expecting it next week and I'd like to ask if it has the same restriction as the D830 regarding the ring+vibration at the same time. D830 had only ring OR vibration (in silent mode), didn't have ring and vibration at the same time. Does this apply to the d900 as well?

i bought this phone about 3 months ago. and i just love it! yes, it has its cons, like everyone has mentioned.. but guys, i would buy this phone again if i had to, just for the screen and the display. i think it beats any other phone on that front. and, you gotta give it to samsung for the design.. sexy, really. would i recommend this phone? it really depends on what one is looking for in a phone.. if you're somebody who wants a good lookin phone with the best display out there, not really bothered about the camera or the battery or any of the other potentially annoying smaller cons, this is the phone to buy.
guys, i ve used a nokia 6260 for 3 years before this, a sony ericsson, a motorola previously..i think this is the best phone i ve had. p.s. nokia is overrated , overpriced, and gets really boring.

i got it 2 days ago, and i love it.
its a great phone except for a couple things
for a 3 mp camera the quality is not great
the keypad gets a little bit frustrating because its hard to press
i also don't like that the phone and memory card don't work in sync.
i.e, to use a caller image the picture must be saved on the phone.
Or to apply a mp3 as a ringtone, it must be stored on the phone.
but overall its good, the screen is amazing.
Also mines be on "low battery" for over 20 hours!
i'm conditioning the battery but its taking fooooorevverr

I have the 900i and I have a Mac computer. The software that comes with the cell - to sync, transfer files, edit photos, etc - isn't Mac compatible. Any ideas? Any software exist I should know about?

what is the maximum memory capacity you can put on this phone??? like 1gb or 2gb or what?? and is there a big advantage to buying the D900i over the normal D900?

to minimize ur music and do other stuff. you gota listen music with the mp3 player. go to Application then music player to listen to music. then jus press the hang up button and it will minimize and let you do other stuff..
