in south-asian version this handset doesn't have ANY connectivity : -gprs/wap -sms backup by provided usb port... also the sms capacity is 100 msgs only.
is this the value of its cheap (28 usd only) price ?
but anyway the torch has brite light and more pointed than nokia's.

can this phone support headset?
i think it cannot, and it really sucks because your always holding the phone whenever your busy and at the same time you have someone on the line.

hi! can anyone tell me about its battery life?
i'm planning to buy this phone as my 2nd phone..
I'm currently using a samsung star but it's really uncomfortable using for calls and i don't want to abuse my phone because i love my star so much. So i'm planning to buy this one.
I'll use this phone mainly if ever for making calls because i do a lot of calls than text messaging.. So does this have a long battery life?
This caught my attention because here in Philippines, it cost only about more or less $20 or Php 1,290.

GREAT!!!
On this price, nokia gives 1202, and LG gives KP500. 1202 has no extra features like fake call, privacy lock, mobile tracker. KP500 has no torch light and hard keypad. So, Samsung is the winner!

Waste of money. Why buy cheap garbage like this? Its a prehistoric phone! Samsung are not very innovative. Nokia already has lots of phones like this on the market.

Has anyone got a fix for no network found when selecting manual in network settings? Great basic phone except the signal's gone off after three months of use.

This phone has a very LONG battery life..2weeks of battery life if you used it purely for texting, so just imagine how long if you used it also for making and receiving calls..

Got this in the great Samsung mobe phone, very very easy to text and call (I think the keypad is dustproof as well)..screen is only CSTN type, not as good as the TFT's but you can manage..random wallpaper everytime you go to standby mode..don't use the keypad lock as I think it might deteriorate the lowermost left button key as you need to press and hold it to unlock the keypad; I agree with the suggestion here that the privacy lock for for the phonebook should just be activated instead..bright torch compare with nokia's torch-enabled phone..LOUD loudspeaker..calendar is just that, a calendar (won't be able to add appointments and such)..nice calculator, way better than nokia's.. multiple phonebook..games included as well as gameplay is sub par (blame it on the CSTN LCD)..overall nice phone..oh by the way, ringtones are MIDI with one MP3 tone, and when the tones are played they can be really loud but without deterioration of quality..

3. press 4 on keypad
4. press 1 on keypad
5. select english and save.

it will prompt you whether you wanna activate loudspeaker or not

Hi. I just got the E1080T. Great little phone. But the too basic instruction sheet doesn't say how to turn on the speakerphone during a call. Can anyone help?

yes, i believe it has speed dial...
it's under the menu Phonebook > Favorites...
#1 is reserved for Voice Server...
#2 - #9 is for you to screw around with... :)
great cellphone, just bought it yesterday...
the only minus thing i found is the absence of ability to change the wallpaper with my own picture... i wanna put my son's cute face there...

i bought two units for my son but after a mo. both phones became useless due to a NO NETWORK issue, has anyone had a similar problem? how did you resolve this?
