I had this phone since Sep 2011,
When The battery is low, and you leave the phone without charging, after few hours , the battery dies, and gets corrupted!
Yes, you will have to purchase a new battery. Make sure you don't leave the phone drains the battery until it empties.
I have lost 2 baterries in this way, and will have to purchase a third one.
Another bad Samsung Product.

I just bought this phone yesterday for only MYR60 in Malaysia. It is a very basic phone without anything fancy in it. I used it only for texting. So far its not too bad i think. The brightness and contrast sucks but if you use the power saving mode, it will work like charm.I've used Nokia with torchlight before but the light is really poor. However for this phone, its torchlight is really bright. I'm a nokia user before so the fact that i have to press # for space during texting is really bugging me. Hoped that i could get used to it. It have like only a few ringtone in it. But i didn't bother as i usually set my phone only for vibrate. Overall a very nice secondary phone. Slim, look nice except for the OK button that have 'OK' on it. It make the phone looks like a toy.lol. Featherweight. The cheapest phone in town i presume. Sturdy. I intentionally dropped the phone on hard marble floor but it didn't leave a single scratch. the keypad are nice. Didn't do the clicking sound like my nokia with it stupid plastic keypad. The autolock feature is kinda unnecessary. It have a lock feature that ask for password to open my message box or contact list. Superb for privacy. lol. My sister couldnt read my text message anymore after this. I cant comment about the battery life as i only used it for 2 days. but from the review here its definitely awesome. To sum up, it's a very good phone. reasonable for its price. Nothing fancy, just a very basic phone. I give it 7.8 marks out of 10.

not good.. bought e1080f one n half year ago..now its gone.. Service centre demanded 650 Rs. for servicing..too much for this handset..

I have a Slim & Sleek and it's fine, but the keypad keeps locking whenever I put it down for five minutes. I know how to unlock it with the star key, but it just locks again. How can I permanently unlock it? Thanks.

The battery life is greater then 840 hour. Alias 30 day of stand-by autonomy!!! In Italy cost 4€ with Vodafone.
