it is a nice phone overall but have some mistakes i think it should be more slim and its music during other work should be playable

battery life without switching the bluetooth on will last 3+ hours of talk time. For normal business use the battery lasts 3 days.
standby without use the battery will last 8
days.

yeah its nice phone thanks samsung.but one thing not good thatu cant listen music during any other working and also u cant set ring tones or wallpaper direct from memory card. its big lack overall nice phine

1.speaker phone is not as loud as 5300 but the clarity is good.
2.video format is QCIF (Short for Quarter Common Intermediate Format, a videoconferencing format that specifies data rates of 30 frames per second (fps), with each frame containing 144 lines and 176 pixels per line. This is one fourth the resolution of Full CIF.)
3.the phone is good performer in all respect.
4.i don't work for samsung.

you cannot prolong the key pad lock timing. it can only be switched off and can lock manually if you press and hold the * button.
to change the keypad lock mode, click menu and then setting and then phone setting and click extra setting and there you can switch off auto keypad lock.

Since there's no much informations for this device, does anybody of the owners maybe knows the answer to (for me)the essential questions:
1. How loud the E 200 speaker phone actually is ? (in comparison with pretty loud N 5300/6131, etc, or pretty quiet SE K 750i)
2. What's the video format, is it QCIF, QVGA or CIF?
I would like to buy this one, so will be thankful for the useful informations.

i have been using this set for the last two wweeks,, apparently good looking but very bad in "user friendly"..internal memeory is very low...so you cant made long clips as the default settings not allowed you to save the media content direct to your card...

this phone was just released recently here in the philippines. it looks good and comfortable to hold. dunno abt the features though. it cost 8,700 pesos. go convert. :)

TO USERS:
Please give some useful information about this model:
1. Is UI fast???
2. Does it have fast sms list for numbers mostly used, like SE???
3. What I really hate in samsung phones is sms delivery reports, they are showed as normal messages, they should apply nokia or SE patern (maybe they did change it??? somebody mentioned that this model has new software).
4. What about battery life??? This was always samsung's the worst feature.
5. Can screensaver show clock and date as in standby mode??? As far as I am concerned no samsung bar phone has this useful feature??? However new software could change something, so please users write something useful for potencial buyers.
6. What about themes or any other customization options??? Does samsung still allow only to change its color of the theme???
7. Can you change permanently size of sms font for both read and write mode???
This is it for now. Thanks for any useful information. I like this model and I think of buying it, but I will wait for your opinions. The SAR level is low 0,506, as I remeber, so this one is made for talkers, and I am one of them. Bye

switching from PDA to this E200 definitely a good decision... affordable price, slim and got all the imporatant features.. do you know that the leather cover for Nokia 6300 fit this E200 nicely?

useing mobile since 1996 but its my first samsung, its great. no other phone in this price range can beat this phone. i always use nokia but now im fan of samsung too.:)

I was quite afraid to switch from Nokia/Sony Ericsson family. But Samsung E200 took all my fears away in just one day. Its built very sensibly and has all the feature one needs in today's modern living. Only one bad thing about this phone is that if you have both SIM and Phone address, it will show you all. Normally other phones have option to either switch SIM or Phone. Other wise i have no complaints. Built like a rock... a sexy rock though.
