i love the samsung E730. love the colour of the phone, feel and it's natty! screen colours are brilliant!...haven't yet checked the camera and mp3 options. but the battery needs to be recharged quite often...not happy with this.

It seems as though that there is a substantial amount of users who are experiencing difficulties regarding the compatibiliy of the videos recorded via this handset.
ImTOO MPEG Encoder is a solid program that may prove to be very useful in such circumstances. A shareware version is available for download. This software is very useful for converting video files transferred to the pc and vice versa.

what this phone really lacks is the memeory slot... if not it will be a good phone...
mind that i say good not a great phone/.../
the mp3 is solid...but do not have the memory to store many songs...max is abt 20 songs only...
as for the radio ... it is not so far off... the receiption for the english channels...is not gd//// and i could only say it sucks...
but for the chinese channels...the receiption is damn good...
one thing i hate abt this p[hone is the battery life...
kind of short doh...got to be recharge after 1 or 2 days....if u listen to mp3 often////
and the games drain lots of battery...
but u can give credit for the colours...not only it is bright but colourful, too....
camera wise....is not that bad butthe video...is not that gd....
if u are thinking abt buying this phone..i wold'nt really recommand...but i would say.///buy motorola v3i or v3x...or maybe n 90 70,.,,., that is what i would say

I bought Samsung sgh e 730 about two months ago, and basically am happy with it, although the battery really needs to be charged too often. Another thing I find annoying is I can't delete the recent contacts I have sent sms to! Anybody who has some advice? Thanks in advance!

I've had my e730 for a couple of months already. The only real negative points about this phone is that I can't do anything else while listenin to mp3's and the battery life. When you think about the price and features, this phone really does balance out, you get a 1.3 megapixel camera, mp3 player, video recorder, etc... The phone of course is not going to be able to compete against top of the line phones like the nokia n91 in features because its cost is about 2/3 of those phones. The music playing capabilities is very nice and practical, if you're sitting around w/ nothing to do just play your music w/ or w/o the ear phones. I doubt samsung had planned on anybody walking around w/ music at full blast, so their max volume w/ the ear phones is actually Really loud(try just sitting there w/ max volume on). Phone overall is great for users who want a bit more out of their phones, all you pda guys, should probably look somewhere else.

well, this is what i think about the e730.
recently bought it, recently sold it.
possitive points.
1. screen brightness and colour (super)
2. easy mp3 access.
3. one of the best clamshell designs.
4. good quality photo's.
negative points.
1. video aint great.
2. sound quality is average cos doesnt support bass.maximum ringtone volume doesnt sound nice.
3.photocall is only when receiving calls. dont even think about customizing during making calls or missed calls.
4. external display options.
(A)sms view has no information of sender.
(b)missed call has no pics.
(C)external camera turning off, operates from inside.
5.dont know if this is good or bad but it doesnt support wave files.
value for money...? i dont think so. if samsung can improve on this petty things.. then no phone can compare with the samsungs cos colour wise... their the best!
everything that i comment is useless if you dont care about the minor points.. :) enjoy!

the phone is great but i think mine doesnt have any games on.is it normal?:P the games are on isn't it? you dont have to download them or something?

hi,still deciding on getting dis phone or e720c cos my phone jus got stolen away. my brother holds a samsung e720c n i find dat e video is definately good. however e picture quiality is not dat great as e noise is VERY high. so jus getting some info on e cam for dis phone. does it lag while taking pics on e highest resolution? cos i intend to take it as n cam/phone n use it so as to save some cash on buying digital camera.

has anyone had problems with the soundmte for the e730? im using one that came with a D500, and it wont work.. are there different soundmates for the d500 and e730?

you wanna make mpg to 3gp you can just download imtoo mpeg decoder and search the web for the serial or crack that programme is very good quicktime sucks thats what i think then

e730 is a nice mobile, no doubt. But still there are some problems or may be, only i am facing them. Firstly, in uploading mp3 to the phone. The uploading stops on the half way and the phone gets restarted !!!
One more thing, how can we watch the movies downloaded from the phone on our pc???

I just bought the E730 and this phone rocks big time. The mp3 sounds are verry clear and the pictures are perfect. Only thing that is bothering me, is that I do 1 day with a full loaded battery. I have the phone for 2 day's. Is it normal?

hey does this phone come with an attatchable cord of some sort so that you can copy the photos and videos you take onto your computer or do you have to send them via mms? that costs money?
