Note: T-Mobile cannot guarantee that an unsupported handset or data
device sold by another carrier or vendor and not formally tested and
approved for use on our GPRS network will be able to use MMS.

T-Mobile tells me that they are unable to find the E890 in the system to send the necessary information. Do you know what information they sent you in order to configure your phone to receive MMS messages? I would like to ask them to provide that information for me. Thanks.

To Sharla (and others):
Steps to remove echo:
1: Open Dialer
2: Type *#8999*8378#
3: Test Mode menu will appear
4: Select 2.H/W test
5: In H/W test menu select 2.Audio Settings
6: In Audio Settings menu select 1.Normal
7: In Normal menu scroll down and find HFR gain
8: Change the value to 25 (you can try other values if you like to play with it. this is the one that worked for me)
9: Press Save and then Save again. Then Exit the menu. Try and see if it worked.
THIS SOLUTION FOR ME HAS WORKED IN ELIMINATING THE ECHO PROBLEM DURING A CALL IN NORMAL MODE. I HAVE ECHO NOW WHEN I USE THE LOUD SPEAKER BUT FOR ME THAT IS ACCEPTABLE.
DO THIS IN YOUR OWN RISK.
*** you should also write down the original value of HFR gain just in case you need it in the future***
To Vianca: if by speakers you mean the headphones mine work OK. both of them. you probably need a new set.
To Kate: try the voice recorder to see if it records your voice. also try using the hands free set to see if the other person can hear you this way. If the voice recorder records your voice then the phone's mic is ok. but i have no clue where the problem might be if the mic is ok.

Stylus- For those of you who have lost, broken, or just want an extra stylus...go to ebay, search: samsung e890 stylus, scroll down and click: All items including Store Inventory Items (on the left of the screen), nothing else should be marked, click: Show Items. 1 result comes up. Costs $10 + shipping. They only have 4 available as far as I can tell.

LOL I think one of speakers is broken. I accedently covered the right speaker while I was listening to my MP3's and the left speaker was really quiet. The right speaker still works. Can some of you try it and tell me if you're have the same problem or if I need to get it serviced. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I was having a problem with my MMS MESSANGER also so I called T-Mobile and told them I had an unsupported phone and they sent me a text with all the info my phone needed and all I had to do was install it. They did the same thing for my WEB BROWSER.

What are the settings they asked you to configure? I am unable to receive MMS messages at all. I also contacted T-Mobile and they were unable to assist me with changing the settings in order to receive them. It sounds like you were at least able to get them to set you up to receive MMS Messages. Thanks

I have a problem with my Samsung E890. The problem is when I make a phone call, I can hear someone on the otherside but the receiver cannot hear my voice at all. I tried the secret code feature and change the HFR from 12 --> 25 but the problem still exists. Please tell me if there is anyway to fix such problem.

Does anyone know what it takes to get rid of the «driving-me-crazy» echo problems.
For those who have already solved it, i ask them to explain step by step so that everybody would fix it.

To özgür : i don't have such a problem. but now i can't use the speaker while on call. it seems there is echo there now. don't really care about it though. the other thing i have messed up is the volume on the media player. when i mute the volume it plays on full power :) am looking for a way to fix this as well. i'll see if anything is fixed

I had this samsung for a bout a month now. nice phone but horrible mms messaging...i contacted t mobile and they assure me the problem isnt on their end, then i contacted samsung and they claim its not on theres either and i emssed with the settings they told me to.. Does anyone else have a problem when you recieve a mms message no matter what size say a picture, it seems to get resized every time you recieve a picture message?

to Petros:thank you very much for helping us to solve echo problem.But now i have another problem.Problem is high volume mix digital sounds(when you are talking another person).it takes about 10 seconds and you can talk again.Did you hear some sounds like this?
