This phone is incredible. On the items i expect from a phone it beats the Nokia N95 which i had but was stolen a week ago. But.....the batterylife is so disappointing. Four hours with the battery fully charged! And i don't even play with the phone that much. Will this improve in the first few weeks or should i go to the shop to ask for a new battery? Anyone? Ik have the phone in my possession for 3 days now and i charged teh completely empty battery 3 times already.

Someone please help. I have service w/T-mobile. I just got the f700 and called to manually configure T-zones and Picture messaging. The problem is that the phone is not picking up images that I have saved on MY ALBUM in T-zones. They are coming out fuzzy, distorted and black & white. I called T-mobile they told me to call Samsung, I called Samsung, they told me to call Samsung UK, I called Samsung UK and they told me to call Tmobile. Any info would be greatly appreciated. E-mail me or post your help. Thanks!

the only thing that seems to be left out is WIFI. All new and upcoming phones come with a built in WIFI. and Battery life could be better. Otherwise seems to be an excellent phone.

Marcello i understand you very much. Samsung is just for so called show offs for users it's a nightmare. I have a Z500 and the 1st time when i synchronized it with comp. the alarm clock never rings at the time.
So all of you who are going to buy Samsung phone don't do it, you will be disappointed.
Buy Sony Ericsson W900i, K800i and so on.

When you first got your f700 did you get a CD? if you did then you need to install this. If you have a memory card reader, then HEY PRESTO. Just plug this strait into your PC or Laptop

                      Hi!
Tried this phone for a few days a couple of weeks ago but found the touch screen too unreliable for constant use.

Then tried an LG Viewty which is a terrific unit but now am road testing the Nokia N95 8GB which seems to be the bees proverbials.

Has anyone got a decent report on the SE960?

I have the Samsung F700 fow 2weeks. Live in South Africa, in the Cape Town Metro where there is sufficient 3G & HSDPA coverage. Phone looks and feel good. User interface is easy. SMSs are a breeze cos of the QWERTY but size of incoming SMSs keeps changing to original, meaning I have to use the "volume" bar to change the size (inconvenient). They could have incuded it in the settings option.

Phone struggle to cope with large amount of SMSs. Response times become unbearable. This also happens when the phone's memory fills up. Downloaded a memory optimizer program and inserted a 1G card and moved most files to the card. Response times improved a bit.

Dont even think about using the camera, even though it is a 3+MP it is still worse than my SEW900i i had 3 years back. That goes for the video as well.

Because I work for the leading Network Operator in ZA (Vodacom), I constantly use my phone, so battery life is important. Dont ever buy a Samsung if you use your phone alot. Even though I am constantly on 2G, I still need to charge my phone every day. I made sure to charge it up properly.

Using the phone as a modem is the phone's best trait. It is user friendly and definetely get in excess of 2Mbits/s download speed. Another feature I like is the intuitive music player. On the flip side, streaming is a nightmare, it keeps on buffering and it interrupts you when you are streaming video.
Hope this review helps you make an informed decision. I tried seearching the web for a bad revierw of this phone and could find one. My overall impression of the phone is....

Nice to have as a show off but lacks punch. If you use your phone as fashion accessory get this phone but if you use it for work and heavy play keep away from it!

can you use it with a chip of your own? or do you have to be with vodaphone or a company scheme or something?

To get other network settings go to uk.samsungmobile.com - on the top bar go to support then on the left side go to wap settings. You can then find the phone and send the settings yourself to the phone. Hey Presto.
