Just got this info from Korean website. Samsung is launching this phone under vodafone in November, Germany being the first country. The outter chrome finish comes in three different colors, metalic blue, brown and white. 3.6Mbps with HSDPA, 3 mega pix camera with autofocus.

OK let me say some words... I doubt Samsung will take note but no harm in trying. This phone is very late in being launched, so Samsung may as well make some modifications. They should make sure VGA, 30fps camcording is included with the 5MP camera. Ensure that document viewing and editing is possible. Make it push e-mail compatible. Give it a vivid VGA screen. This phone would become a market leader because there is no "all-rounder" phone that has a QWERTY.

WLAN is possible only if there is an OS ... these isn't one! So we can forget about WLAN- a great pity! Increasing the size of the screen from 2.8 to 3.2 inches will only decrease the sharpness of the screen. I wish Samsung would rival Toshiba's G900 and implement WVGA resolution instead of WQVGA. Charts, tables and graphs are far clearer with a higher res. Since Samsung is making us wait so long they should give us a treat!!

That press release on the Samsung Korea site confirms it is 5.0 Megapixels for the camera and 3.2 inches for the screen size. That's all.

I can't understand from the translation if it is a 3.2 or 5 megapixel camera. Anyone?
Looks good that they actually expanded the screen size from 2.8 inches in February to 3.2 inches now.
I really think it is going to be a good phone. The camera won't be as exciting as LG Viewty but should still be reasonable, I hope!

The camera's megapixel seems unconfirmed now. Mobile-review reports 5 megapixel and that it will be announced in November!

Seems to me that if it really has a 5 megapixel, this will be the best phone to take for now, because it has 5 megapixel, an actual qwerty keypad, and seems to me that the touchscreen might actually be much more advanced than that of LG Viewty and might be on par or better than iPhone's.
Well, come November, we will know!
And once again, please, please, don't release these two excellent phones only in UK!
Looking forward to Nokia's iPhone too!

Nice tech specs, just missing the most important part for a smartphone... which OS is it running ? Windows Mobile with a personalized interface a la HTC TouchFLO ? ... could be because it's one of Samsung's favs. Symbian UIQ ? hmm... I doubt it, but it could be... Brew ? hmm... I REALLY doubt that could be done with Brew... so which one please ?

Since this is supposed to be a business phone (QWERTY keyboard), does it support push-email from MS Exchange Server? It should, although it does not feature a Windows Mobile OS...
