there is no need to update the software/firmware since it can already read SMS in the external screen...

I'm planning to buy this phone and I have heard that you can read messages through the external screen if you update the software. Now my question is: where do you update the software??? My V8 didn't need to be updated its software because the feature was built-in.

How can i browse the internet using G400? I connected it to my laptop and installed evrything from the cd that cam with it. Followed all the instructions. I created a dial-up connection sing the PC Studio but can't connect still. I am a Globe subscriber here in the Philippines. Please help. Thanks in advance.

also amr files can be use as a SMS ring tone
so the voice recording files can be set as ring tone for SMS.

personAL MSG RING TONE...
ive just found out that g400 can assign personal ringing tone for SMS..
here's how..go to contacts>the name of contacts( as long it is saved in phone memory not on simcard) >edit>options>add more fields>then select for msg tone>ok button>special tone>ok>choose a song or any ring tone that u would like ..its like MOTOTROLa phones where you can assign a personal ring tone for each contacts..hehehe..

samsung user, 21 Sep 2009Hey newbie hows your battery life now ?well, i did follow your advice on charging it for 4-6 hours (even though it's not a first-time-charging anymore), and i guess the battery life is better. I also kept my bluetooth on, maybe that's another reason why my phone has a shorter battery life. Anyway, I still need to check up on it, i'm still not a hundred percent sure about my answer. hehe thanks for asking

anyway i only have one sim card and i wont let somebody insert someone else's simcard here..hehehe..
maybe ill just visit samsung megamall and ask assistance from one of there technicians..thanks anyway...:)

newbie1, 16 Sep 2009argh...i did turn it off when i charged it the first time..... moremy phone lasted for 2 days..with 2 hours of charging.
i just charged the phone last night for 2 hours..but i observed that it is not fully charge yet..usually how many hours do i have to charge it to have a full battery ?

do not fully drain the phone..it w... moreargh...i did turn it off when i charged it the first time...i didn't drain the battery too. Hope it's not too late to do that technique. I'll try....
about the cover...all you got to do is put both of your thumbnails on the sides, and push the cover (using your thumbnails...instead of pushing it with just your thumb...hope you were able to imagine what i'm trying to tell you hahaha. enjoy
