can anyone tell me if you can set contact picture for calls and sms. can do it on my sony eric and am looking at getting a g600 but love being able to see person pic when they txt me.

Hi,
just swapped to a samsung g600 from an old nokia. On my old phone, if someone sent you a sms with a phone number in it, the number would be underlined and you could either call the number direct from the sms, or save the number to contacts. This doesn't appear to be the case with the samsung? Am I being dim (it has been known) or is this a standard feature?

But English, Italiano, Deutsch, Francais, Espanol, Nederlands, Portugues, and Turkce.

I had the same problem and I emailed the Samsung UK Service Center and even they couldn't help me, but I am pretty sure that I fixed it. When you get a picture message it probably gives you a summary of it before you tell the phone to "Retrieve" the photo or video. I came to the conclusion that this retrieval process is what was shrinking the images. So what you have to do now is go to Menu >Settings >Message Settings >Multimedia Messages >Receiving options
And under the heading "Home Network" Move the option beneath to "Auto Download" instead of Manual. Otherwise it may be the person who is sending you the messages. test it by sending one to yourself. Good Luck.

Battery life is good. almost 5-6 days. It´s a good phone, not a excelent phone. Beautifull design. High quality of constrution.

That is a light sensor to tell it when to turn on the keypad light and dim the display.

Drawbacks:
1. Lack of Memory for messaging
2. No Firmware Updates
3. No MP3 Ringtones
4. Loudspeaker is abit low
5. Samsung Owners always bragg that they think there best.`
6. Nobody has it
7. No support for it by Samsung.

i am thinking of getting this phone but have a question. i had the E900 and that was horribly slow when tryin to view pictures in file manager. what is this phone like???
