thanks...which one is the best? k810 or G600? i never tried samsung phones so am not quit familiar with samsung phone..how baout the camera? does it have zoom?

The G600 is an excellent phone, but quite different from the k810. Perhaps the first difference you will notice is that the G600 does not feel as solid as the k810, however this is because you are comparing a bar-style phone to a slider, and you will find that is always the case. I have always felt that Sony Ericsson phones have the best user interface of all brands, but the G600 is not all that different, and actually operates much faster than any Sony Ericsson phone, which you will notice. As for your question, you can assign just about any picture as a wallpaper/background on the phone, but the G600 does not support active screensavers. But be happy about your choice, it's an excellent phone!

i am planing to buy a phone.. i had k810i but unfurtunatly i lost it and now g600 is my option..did i chose d ryt phon? is it possible to put wallpaper or screensaver?

alex, 01 Aug 2008ive got a question does it have good and loud speakers? plz... moreSadly, the G600 does not have stereo speakers like some other more expensive handsets. Samsung has long preferred to couple the loudspeaker with the normal internal speaker used during calls, which definitely weakens the overall loudness of the speaker. Music and calls handled through the loudspeaker sounds excellent and clear, but is not particularly loud. Hope that helps!

Don't be too sad mate, sending or hiding caller ID can be changed by going to Settings > Call Settings > All Calls > Show My Number

I have also owned the U600 and the G600 is FAR better. The touch sensitive portion of the U600 (athough it does look brilliant) causes tons of functional problems and often leads to exiting menus and programs without meaning to. Also, the G600's camera blows the U600's out of the water.
Seriously friends, I do highly recommend the phone and I am happy to answer any questions I can regarding using it.

Oh also pictures don't seem to do this phone justice. You have to see it in real life and hold it in your hands to appreciate how awesome it looks. Enjoy!

I just got mine and this is the first time I've had a Samsung since the D900 and what an improvement! The D900 wasn't even bad but this is incredible for the price! In the last 6 months I've owned both the Nokia N95 and the SE k850i, and while the G600's camera is not quite as good, I actually think it really excels in many other ways, and does so at a fraction of the price! And the FM radio recording feature!?!? I'm IN LOVE WITH MY NEW G600

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2008great phone but how the hell do you change message alert tone?Goto Settings, then telephone-settings, then telephone-profiles. Choose any profile (usually 'normal'), Edit it, choose 'New Message' (2nd option). There are the wanted options.

I have one question, I just bought this phone and I realised that there is room for only 200 SMS, but in Samsung G600 rewiew I found this: "The Samsung G600 has no limitation for stored messages as the shared memory is used." Is there any possibility to change some settings for SMS?

gawakita, 28 Jul 2008Nope but I found a site selling unlocked G600 unit for $349... more179 euros with Pc cable, charger, headset and 256mb memory card here in Portugal at fnac for 1month at least ;) though i bought at the same time a 2gb Sandisk card for 14 euros.
I don't hear anyone except one person complaining about the long incoming sms problem! Maybe it's only some phones so i'm thinking of going to complain to the store where i bought it while is in the warranty! dang i love this phone but this problem is killing it for me coz i use smsm a lot :(

Anonymous, 27 Jul 2008Try putting it on multi shot when in multi shot mode the pics get even worse.. and it takes 6 photos which takes too long.. i was wondering if there is any option too make your pics less blurry???
