To all owners of the G600:
Whats the camera like on this phone?
I had a play with a mates on the weekend and in low light with the flash its not very quick to capture! Its like, even after the flash has flashed, the subject/target still can't move for a couple of seconds or you'll get a different picture!
I only had a go for a couple of minutes so its hardly an accurate review, but does anyone else have this problem?
Has there been a firmware update posted on the Samsung website yet? cos that may enhance camera and UI functionality!
Cheers :)

no touch sensitive buttons.
YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO PRESS THEM!
Thats the main reason for me to buy this phone.
The U series are all touch sensitive!

I have the U700 and hate the touch keys, its to sensitive. Im warming to this phone and curious if the keys are like the U700 (oh no)or whether similar to D600/D900 and you actually have to press a button.
Thanks

I'm seriously considering the new Samsung G600 as an upgrade from my frankly terrible LG Chocolate phone, but I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer for me!
Firstly, is the G600 compatible with Windows Vista? I have Vista Home Premium, so would I have to pay for a sofware upgrade? Where would I find such a thing? I'm not much of a computer whizz!
Secondly, I know that the G600 displays a dynamic Big Ben screensaver here in the UK (cute!), but I'd heard it also displays fireworks when you recieve a text message - is that true?
My contract is due to expire at the end of December 2007 and I just can't wait to own a G600! x

hey nightcrawler777 i'm thinking about getting a U608, the HK anycall version of U600 imported to NZ which should operate similarly to SG, have you noticed any other problems aside from the caller ID issue on the G608, otherwise does it work similarly to G600 in other respects? thanks

I"ve just gotten a HK imported G608 (with the words Anycall while starting up) in Singapore. While there are no crashes, there are some caller ID problems due to +65 prefix, wonder if anyone experiences this?
For those considering this Samsung among others, there's two killer things about this phone that made me decide even over the upcoming G800.
1) the auto screen/keypad light sensitivity calibration that works so darn well and fast
2) c'mon guys, the first GSM Samsung to include 16M colours?!! --> G800 only 256k, it's like a mini samsung LCD-TV screen, beautiful!
3) and if you think 16M is gonna take the battery juice out...check this...I've messaged and called and surfed seriously above average and battery shows 2/3 bars after 2 days. --> reason: refer point 1.

@ brynn
I use windows vista as well and had to dload the pc studio 3.2.0
Here is the link:

It comes in handy if you want to drop .jar and .jad files into the "other files" folder in the phone memory for free java games amongst other things.

Hi, can someone please email me and let me know if this phone can really do 30fps in CIF? I know it claims only 15fps in VGA, but talking about CIF. A sample video would be good if possible, but not needed. Thanks.
