Samsung do not let you customerise you text tone, only the u600 had this feature. this is what put me off samsung, it seems silly, but its what I want.
HSDPA seems really good, and def worth having if you will use it is a modem.
Im looking for a 5 mega pix phone, not to sure if I want to wait for this.....

Could you please update yourself. G800 comes with a fully functional system of profiles, including Flight Mode. Every profile is customizable – you can pick ring tone, incoming message alert and adjust the volume level. Its no more a Nokia thing my dear.
Looking at G600 and G800 makes me wonder if they came out from two different production lab like U600 and U700 did.
Hope to see some of the G600 features in G800. may be that would be G810. Time will say. Cheers!

I have been waiting for this phone for months. Decent Camera, Less then decent video, nice smooth look, ok...
Price: 750$us/500$euro
Are you Freaking Joking. There is no way this phone is worth that much.
The competition is much cheaper, except the Nokia N95. This phone better be made of gold or something.

I dont know where you get your info But this is gonna be the best camera phone on the market. 3x Optical Zoom is unheard of in a phone. I dont see how you can comment on other feature seen as it's not even out yet.

Looks like Samsung doesn't have a marketing team. Their best phone G800 has average camera, bad video, large and heavy,...etc. And still have not fixed the ring and vibrate at the same time and customized SMS tones. Pathetic for such a high-tech company. I don't like Nokia, but at least they listen to their customers !

Samsung mobile site doesnt say G800 has WiFi. In the brief...that feature is Grayed out. Try selecting slider and WiFi in the left panel and you will find no match.

Video recording is QVGA, so extremely unimpressive compared to the Viewty. In fact, it's significantly worse than the G600. I think Samsung must just have like 50 times all developing new phones independently without sharing any of their accomplishments.

According to the official Samsung website this phone DOES have wifi.. It also states Touch Screen....? Time will tell

did somebody compare it with g600? its almost the same only the diffence in the info is the g800 has 256k colors, 160mb internal memory and it is 3g while the g600 has 16M colors, 50mb internal memory and it is not 3g, for me g600 is better than the

to me this G800 looks like a Nokia 6300 with a slide
i like this phone its a tat better then N95 ...and just as good as K850i
