can't belive this ph still not out. is it that hard to copy nokia its been out for the last few years. metal body might look good but will feel like heavy lead sinker in your pocket. buttons are still cheap plastic look real cheap. don't forget oily finger tips might peal the metal body thats what i am predicting.

yeah, it does look like the N95, but a little shy on the performance compared to the N95. But I think this one has a more solid & better build compared to the creaky N95 that feels like it's going to break apart, and when you hold the N95, it never fails to remind you that it's made of mostly plastic materials. That is the only downside I could think of with the N95. So this phone would be a very good alternative for the N95 if you are particular with phone build, but I don't think this phone can compete with the N95's performance and features. Why can't they get it right?

it maybe an N95 copycat, but i think on the whole it will going to be better than the N95. for starters, just look at the design much better than N95. perhaps the same goes with the body construction and the material used

Yeah and please, don't compare phones with smartphones, this can only be compared with Nokia N82, N95/N95 8GB. In the US the G810 will be a lot cheaper than in EU, thats for sure.

i think it would be fair if you'll going to post your opinion regarding this handset if you already owned it and used it at least for a week or so...then it would be a legit opinion

'Nokia put out n95 and every one wants to rush and put out 5megapixel camera phones'---
IS THAT SO????
In that case one should say Samsung put 10mpx yrs back and everyone else(Nokia/SE/LG) is rushing and puting 5mpx/8mpx in their phones. Becarefull of what you write.

gps in this unit is nothing to get excited about its going to be inferior to n95 as well. well what do you expect its samsung get the picture. oh and this phone is bigger than n95 too. if you want a good phone with gps get pda phones like HTC, Eten etc. those gps are best becasue they use SiRFstar 3 chipset fast load not like this crappy g810 it will take good 5mins to connect you prob be were you want to be before you even get connected lol. load of crap this phone. don't take my word for just wait till you buy it and sell back on ebay for half the price in 6 mths.

Look i love the design aspect of samsung phones. But I have to be in your face to tell you that they do a crappy job at makin a good camera phone. Nokia put out n95 and every one wants to rush and put out 5megapixel camera phones. The result ? real crappy medeocre cameras that take extremely large photos. Now do you want the quality or do you want the size. Id rater have a good quality 3 mega pixel to a bad grainy (seedy) 10 megapixel. The conclusion is ive seen samples taken with this phone and i was very dissapointed. The ones that were taken in broad day light was very grainy and cluttered. colors were pretty bad too. on the other hand the nokia n95 comes with carl zeiss lens and it does take way better pictures than this phone. not forgetting that n95 is capable of recording video at 30 fps.
What I hate (may be not the appropriate word) about mobile manifacturers is that when one release a good product they all want to compete and make similar products (copycats). But why cant they make something better than that. I have seen N95 competition. but nothing that beats it. Oh one thing i forgot to mention is, i have to give credit for this phone for having a good flasher (which is absolutely useless when the camera is soo poor). But if your after the good flash wait for the n96.
