I'm planning to buy g810. I would like to ask if it still needs to install an application to open facebook. Can i play games in facebook on this phone? Hope someone would answer my questions. Thanks in advance.

I'd like to ask GSMArena did they got the phone after it's market release and what they think about:
"•Xenon flash is disappointing
•Optical zoom reduces picture quality noticeably"
And what about battery life?

nesoxy, 21 Sep 2009This peace of plastic does not deserved to be called phone ... morei think there are two possible answers here: either u got a really baad unit,or u completely lost ur mind..just to make it clear,its more metal than any N-series nokia out there.music is moderate loud but crystal clear,wifi works great,phone is fast and extra solid.and the camera is-superb!

kelv, 26 Aug 2009camera is very bad even it comes with xenon flash its not bad...its just ben an older model so the resolution if the screen is not that good.. but if you print it out or view it on a computer it would match any new phone that have 5MP. by the way this phone is only 250USD, for anyone who want this. +639075555599

This peace of plastic does not deserved to be called phone or device what so ever. I is total crap. Wifi works then not, when using gps you can't hear anything. call quality 0, music reproduction 0, ringing sound 0. COMPLETE ZERO! money wasted!!!

I would like to ask if any of you who are users of G810 experience that when the phone is slide out, the part with the lcd screen is not intact or it moves slightly..is this normal or do I need to bring it to the samsung service center..i just bought my phone yesterday...

With regards to the short battery life of this unit, i remember the old tricks I used to use with my previous Nokia S60 phones..
1. Turn off the wifi if you're not using it(go to Settings\Connection\Wireless Lan and choose Never).
2. Turn off 3G if you're not using it too(go to Settings\Phone\Network and choose GSM under Network Mode.
Turning off these two settings extends the life of your battery to at least 2 days of light to moderate use. Unfortunately, the size of the display will take its toll on your battery life no matter what you do.
Even with all the shortcomings, this phone still rocks!

Hi guys! Does anyone know how to set the sms alert (un-read sms) My other phones can remind me every minute or so when there is a un-read sms. Or any freeware I can download?
Also, can you activate the front camera for self portrait or is it only for video call? Cheers!

george, 02 Sep 2009did you try charging it......:DLOL. It charges for hours everyday. When low battery beeb sound, then in less than 15min the phone goes dead. however i have a D900i and battery life exellent, last UP TO four days heavy use.

Bought phone new and battery only lasted half day, send it back got new battery and it don't even last 1 day on standby. Have to use old phone now.
