The display is decent even though the resolution is only 720p. Low resolution is not noticable in daily use, colors are neither washed out nor oversaturated and there isn't a visible yellow/blue tint.

The speaker and call quality are good. The virtual promixity sensor doesn't work very well as it takes around 3-5 seconds for screen the close during calls. The rear camera takes decent shots during the day; however, the front camera is not very good but still alright for a 5MP camera.

Battery life is good but not great. It gives around 12 hours of screen-on-time (SOT) on 60 Hz refresh rate, I think SOT is not very good considering the screen is only 720p.

A04s was very fluid and stable before the Android 14 update, especially considering the performance Exynos 850 offers. However, Android 14 update made it significantly slower, especially the quick panel generally stutters. I don't recommend updating the phone to Android 14.

I think Samsung Galaxy A05 and A05s are much better purchases than A04s unless A04s can be found at very cheap prices because Exynos 850 has become inadequate after the Android 14 update.

    you have to suffer, 11 Mar 2024otherwise, your welcome on following my advice. the a04s ... morethank u. imagine.... i still have galaxy tab 3 8.0 sm-t315.... original battery was at an end after 10 years. the quality then and now..... would use this for my phone but sim tray is long busted.

      Did you know how to block the calls from sim 1 calls are automatically forward to sim 2, because roaming charges are automatically recovered from sim 2 operators. Every time I'm loosing the money if I not answer the calls for sim 1.

      Note : I want to keep both network active , but calls forward function not needed.

        Indeed device slows down after Android 14 update a bit. Lag many times a day. Flawless before, 32 GB / 3 GB variant. Main concern is removal of 2G only mode. It was useful, since I use two sim cards and one was always at 2G, because I do not use thats card internet at all. And it saved battery because sim was on low energy network. Bad move to force on 2G/3G/4G automatical. battery drains a bit faster with new update.

          Device becomes very slow after upgrade to Android 14, for 3gb 32gb variant. Please samsung fix this issue.

            the a04s would be completely unusable in android 14. android 13 only runs fast on this. just poor longevity if you have lower variant.

              you have to suffer, 27 Feb 2024no stay on android 13.thank you. guess i have to wait for a custom rom if ever to have freedom on my phone. im starting to miss my s6. if only the battery would be as good on it.
