I think this device is gonna flop in the United States. Right now, most Americans buy their phones through their carriers. The big 3 carriers with cell towers, Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, used to dominate the market, but lately they’ve been facing competition from MVNOs like Metro, Mint Mobile, and Visible. Because customers have been switching over, big carriers have been running aggressive deals and promos to get people to stay on their networks or switch over from another big carrier. These deals often give you free flagship phones like the iPhone 15 pro as long as you buy the carrier’s unlimited data plan. Even though these deals usually make you spend more money in the long run because of how expensive plans from large carriers are, people still sign up for these carriers’s plans because of how exciting the thought of getting a free phone is. Because most of these plans offer flagships instead of budget phones, Samsung loses out on a ton of potential A series buyers in America. But I don’t think people on MVNOs (like me) would be interested in the galaxy A series either. Most people don’t even know that there are more than 3 American carriers, and people who do are usually tech savvy and know that a used flagship phone from a few ago will be better than a budget phone from this year while costing the same amount. However, MVNO’s have started running a lot of ads to try to become mainstream, and it seems like it’s working, but to attract more people, some of them like Metro have resorted to new phone deals. The problem is that because MVNO plans are so cheap, they can’t afford to be giving away free phones. Even though Metro’s plans are $10-$20 more expensive than other MVNO carriers, they need to save money elsewhere. One way they do this is by making the phones they give to new customers very cheap instead of free. For example, their most advertised deal right now is to get a phone for $99 when you switch. But that still doesn’t cover the cost of having cheaper plans than their competitors, so they need to offer cheaper phones. They way they go about this is smart because instead of offering a galaxy a54 for $99 or a free galaxy a05s, they have flagships from a few years ago. The $99 phone I was talking about earlier is the iPhone 12, which I definitely think holds up very well today. It also will attract more customers than a midrange android because of how popular iPhones are in the United States. So I don’t think any of the demographics in the U.S. will be interested in the a05s or any of Samsung’s budget phones.

Does anyone know a way to reduce the display refresh rate on A05s ?? It comes with 90Hz and doesn't have a option to reduce it.

Pause, 11 Dec 2023Why doesn't it ship with android 13 go edition?It runs on regular Android 13, but a modified version of Samsung's One UI called One UI Core, which functions like a better android core. It would've had Android 13 Go if Samsung used stock android.

Long time user here. It's laggy. Period. The ui eats too much ram that 4gb is not enough. Even if the ram plus is enabled. I think it's not optimized. I hope lags can be fixed in future updates

Regret to buy this Samsung? unit. I thought this was a good replacement to my Redmi 12c but I was wrong. Too.much heating in just watching videos. Terrible sounds, redmi 12c is almost half of this price but has decent sounds. It has soft plastic casing. Is this real Samsung phone?
