Disappointing.
My last phone was a Galaxy S8. An app I need for work stopped supporting the old OS, so I was forced to upgrade the Android OS. The specs on the A14 look good so was expecting this phone to be at least as good as the S8.
Wrong.
The phone lags often making simple things like typing text messages very time-consuming. (Yes, opening up the memory manager and clearing memory resident apps helps temporarily, but this is impractical.)
The picture quality is mediocre at best despite the megapixels. I have had several situations where I missed an important photo due to camera lag.

I completely regret buying this phone. I got it for $150, but now won't even pay $80. It ran the Exynos 850 which is insanely slow (the fact that my Samsung A5 midranger from 2017 ran faster) and no 90hz screen to even help it's performance. Either get at the very least the Samsung A14 5g or get an older flagship/midranger.
Good choices that update to Android 14 at this price range are:
Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, Pixel 6a, Samsung S21, Samsung S20 FE, Samsung A52s, Motorola Edge 2022, iPhone SE 2020 (updates to latest IOS), Xiaomi Redmi (not sure which exact models as its hard to get them where I live).

I am in Nigeria ,i bought this phone 2months ago but i am regretting because after 30mins of virtual meeting it will shut down because of over heating. I have missed several meetings and cant even attempt any job interview with this phone.

My old Samsung S6 is more responsive than this, and takes about similar quality photos. The battery life on the A14 is good, the screen size is uncomfortably large. Also lacking what I assumed were standard features like NFC.
