Samsung Galaxy A17 4G listed ahead of launch

Samsung announced its Galaxy A17 last month, and we now have a listing for the 4G variant from a retailer in Kenya. The 4G model looks exactly like its 5G sibling and shares most of the same specs, with the main exception being the Helio G99 chipset at the helm.

Galaxy A17 4G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, just like the 5G model. It is configurable with 6 or 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage, which is expandable via the onboard microSD card slot.

The back houses a 50MP main camera alongside a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens. A17 4G gets IP54 ingress protection and boots One UI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung is also pledging 6 years of OS updates and security patches. The phone also gets a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W wired charging.

Galaxy A17 4G comes in Black, Blue, and Gray colors. The 6/128GB trim is listed at KSH 22,999 ($179) in Kenya. That's about $90 (€76) less than the price of the A17 5G in Europe.
