Anonymous, 16 Nov 2025YesIt's a bit common on their low end A series phones. The displays are landfill quality. You'll get used to it but if you came from a phone with less flickering it'll take a while. The eye comfort filter makes the flickering worse.

Along with all my smartphone purchases, regardless of make, over the last several years, I'm infuriated with the perpetuation of the ludicrous card tray. Why did some imbecile ever invent this? Having placed one's SIM card in the tray, followed by one's Micro SD card, it is enough to drive one insane, trying to get the tray, loaded with both cards, back inside the phone body. Having given up on loading the SD card, I then discover that having used the phone as a portable computer to check on buses and trains in London, I'm virtually unable to switch it off to save power. Never before on any other manufacturer's phone, have I been required to press both buttons on the right-hand side to switch off. Quite simply, it rarely ever works! Today, I'm going to the Samsung shop in Oxford Street for assistance!!!

A17 receive Security Update once a 3 month! Anyway con not compare Exynos Crap 1330 with New Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Platform from TSMC ( And I have now a Edge 40 with Android 15 and Security Patch it's 1 October 2025 . The phone run excellent! The software it's a combination between Android Stock and a little personalized from Moto UX. For Security Moto use Think Shield for Mobile. Display it's excellent P OLED HDR10+ up to 144Hz!

This phone it... moreThe problem with all other manufacturers except Apple, Samsung, and Google is their lack of commitment to “operating system upgrades and security updates.” In this market, when you buy a mobile phone that doesn’t get updates, it’s like you’re in a glass room where all your activities are visible to others. So security is the first thing you should ask of the manufacturer.

I love Samsung A17. My only problem, if Samsung can help with that, is the warming or heat coming from the screen and the rear side of the phone. I used to have a Nokia 5.3, which was experiencing the same heating problem. However, Nokia managed to control this problem with an update and it managed the problem. I hope that Samsung can do the same and manage the heating of the Samsung A17 with a suitable update.

A 17 with Exynos 1330 and 4 GB of RAM !! This phone it's pure garbage! Waiting for new Moto G57 first phone with new Qualcomm snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Platform 256GB / 8 GB RAM and beautiful Pantone coloros certified

No more waiting for Security Monthly Update and Very Soon become brick because of battery update! No more Samsung Blotware! Very Powerful Snapdragon 730g Chip. I can install any Custom ROM if I want ! 5.8" beautiful OLED Display! No more 6.6"-6.7" a tablet phone just 143gr a very good phone because I am weak little man✋! A36 after update 1.1 GB Security Patch 1 April 2025 it's much better with Qualcomm it's moving very fast it's a little light 195g it's very slim 7.4mm ! Much better than A17 !
Don't buy A17 just because have Micro SD Card the processor it's weakness. A36 It's the Same Price 260 EUR base variant 128GB / 6 GB RAM !But Adreno 710 GPU it's much better than Mali-G68 MP2
