After three years of owning this phone, it has very suddenly started to have serious issues, sometimes not even turning on. Apparently, there is a common bad connection within the memory and the motherboard.

From the beginning I am unable to find "show while charging". I always have to wake my screen to see the charging percentage.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Been using this phone for almost 2 months already and have not faced any major issues, it's just the front camera. When it gets dark or like night time, it's not that impressive. Using the front cam on messenger app, when you video record, zooming in has a very noticable delay. And for some unknown reason, when it's night time or like light is not that present, camera shutter speed takes a bit too long to process before you could capture abother pic; it's the same scenario for both back and front cam.

According to them my phone's both microphones are not working. They tried to replace both the microphones, but didn't work. Now they will be changing the whole Motherboard & give me.

After updating the software, 1 November 2023 updates were installed in my Samsung A23 5G. But after 5 days of update, suddenly the speakers of the phone stopped working. Means whenever I make normal/video call, there is a loud humming - irritating sound from speaker & opposite person can hear only the loud sound and not what we speak. But at the same time I can hear Music or YouTube videos. Then there is no problem.
Is any one else facing the same speaker problem?

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2023After install the Android 14 my phone showing free ram usag... moreWhen you update your Android OS, the new software update does not delete the old version. Instead, it overwrites the existing Android version. This process updates the OS software, bringing new features and bug fixes.
However, the system updates are applied to the /system partition, which is reserved for the operating system and is not accessible to you or your applications. This space is already reserved for the operating system, regardless if it is all used or not, and it is not accessible to you as a user.
It’s important to note that major updates such as jumping between major Android versions usually introduce a number of added features that will result in either additional files or files that are larger than existing ones. But these changes happen in the /system and will not affect your available internal storage or app installation space (/data).
Before installing an update, it’s recommended that you back up your data. This ensures that your important data is safe, even though most Android updates don’t actually delete any data.
So, in summary, Android OS updates for versions 10, 11, 12, and 13 do not delete the old OS but OVERWRITE it, and they should not take up more user space.

The audio on this model is also acceptable, and louder than any other Samsung I've owned in the past. On these two functions I'd give a score of 7 on a 1-10 scale (10 being the best).

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2023After install the Android 14 my phone showing free ram usag... moreYeah os uses a lot of ram, mine has 4/128 (but have 635mb reserved so 3.38gb left for system and apps). I can keep the same apps like Android 13 so I don't care much about numbers

After install the Android 14 my phone showing free ram usage is 0.9gb. The virtual memory is already switched off when I start to use this phone with Android 12. But I didn't installed any apps or I didnt saved any documents, videos or images in phone internal memory. I always used 128gb microsd card.
Why every Android os uses extra 0.5gb ram after upgrade?. What is the purpose to reduce the free ram usage capacity? (My phone variant is 6/128).
Even internal storage also takes additional 4gb space after upgrade. Why they are not delete old Android ( 12 and 13) os files after the android 14 installed?.

I'm using my 6-year old a3 2017 as my main phone. I'm wondering if I should buy a23 or a34 now or should I wait for something better to come along?
I don't want my phone to be large and heavy. Just a minimalistic phone with great camera and audio is what I need.
