A bad design can turn customers away, because the first thing that people will see when buying a product is the outside. They won't be able to know how good the actual products will be are until they've consumed them.

      All phones used to have bezels, so why are people complaining now? Because phone designs have changed over the years thanks to evolving trends. Bezels are now seen as sin in terms of viewing experience and looks.

      In an age of punch holes and minimal bezels, the A25 looks like it could belong in 2019 or 2020. And when it's the ONLY $300 phone on the market with such outdated design, Samsung should really be ashamed, like being the only kid in school who wears clothing from the 1960s.

      At the end of the day, it's all about good looks and going with the flow, just like fashion. You can ignore the trends and make products however you want them to be, but eventually you'll be left out and outpaced by the competition who are always on the latest trends.

        Functions are the most important thing in a phone for me. All phones used to have bezels, I don't remember anyone complaining about them then.

          People always say "don't judge a book by its cover", but the reality is, the cover should be able to accompany a book's contents. Would you buy a Harry Potter book if its cover was drawn by a 4-year-old using crayons?

          I'm trying to say that looks matter just as much as function. A sleek, up-to-date design with thin bezels can make a $200 phone look like a $600 premium phone.

          But for the A25, it's the polar opposite; it's clunky, bulky, and just looks like a low-end $100 phone when compared to literally every other brands' $300 offerings I can find in my country.

          For one of the world's biggest manufacturers of OLED displays, it's absurd that Samsung can't seem to go with the flow in terms of phone designs for their budget lineup. That's all I have to say.

            I personally wouldn't want any phone which doesn't have a SD slot or a 3.5mm jack. I'm not happy the A25 doesn't have a FM Radio.
            It seems pathetic that some of the top of the range Samsung models only have 128GB storage with no possibility of expansion. All Samsung phones should have a SD slot, 3.5mm jack and a FM Radio, this is something in which the lower range models score over the top of the range models.

                      - Glass back
                      - IP54 water resistance
                      - Hole punch display
                      - Much thinner bezels
                      - 1220p display resolution
                      - Gorilla Glass Victus protection
                      - Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor (~20% faster than Exynos 1280)
                      - Much better main camera
                      - Infrared blaster
                      - 67W fast charging
                      - Case, screen protector, and wall charger all included in the box

                      Not trying to make the A25 look bad, but just know that Samsung now has way more competition than ever especially in the low-end and midrange segments. There's also last year's Galaxy A34 which is still a better choice if you can get it for nearly the same price as the A25, and while stocks still last.

The battery capacity is not low, different brands with similar battery capacity offer longer battery life. This is not the first time I am using a Samsung phone. This phone is backwards in terms of battery compared to the previous model, on paper. 1280 may be high-performance, but it is not a stable processor, there are too many complaints. 1380 and 1480 are well-established processors of the upper middle level. I wish we could see at least the renewed 1330 model in this phone, which has similar features to 1280.

If you want premium features, you have to pay premium prices.

                            Anonymous, 19 Jul 2024Actually June and 6.1… I wrote that in April. The A15 has just got the July security update in some regions. The July update is being tested for the A25 currently, so hopefully it will get it soon.

                                      I was quite concerned reading the reviews, but I am no more.
                                      To start off - I had no better options and going used wasn't a possibility due to private reasons.
                                      This is my 3rd day of owning the A25, 128/6GB.
                                      I love it so far. The screen is amazing, performances are very usable, it doesn't overheat&slow down when browsing internet/discord and similar. It DOES overheat when gaming, but I don't play games on my phone so that's not a concern.
                                      The camera is not great but it's usable.
                                      Keep in mind people - this is a goddamned budget phone. It's not a flagship. You can't expect it to have no bad sides when it's a budget phone.
                                      If you want good camera good battery life yada yada go spend $1k on a iPhone or buy a flagship phone.

The G99 has a longer battery life and better stability. I was happy for the 120 Hz screen and stereo speakers added to this model, but the premature discharge of the charge gave me a bad experience. duration should not be low.
