Ok, this was actually better than I expected. I thought there would be barely any upgrade. But hey the performance and build quality got a boost! While the Exynos 1380 here is downngraded (UFS 2.2 instead of 3.1 and LPDDR4X instead of LPDDR5, then the Wi-Fi support) but it still a big jump.

And atleast the screen is now adaptive (slightly hoping it also comes pack with a fingerprint sensor, but okay).

And for the downgraded part, I don't really care since adapter exist... and hey this one has expendable storage!

Anonymous, 03 Mar 2025Wow. If this is true and not just an error on the spec page... moreSamsung aims to phase out the Galaxy A2x series from its current market position.

The Galaxy A25 is widely regarded as a better device than the A26. However, Samsung strategically intends to drive sales of the A36 by making the A26 seem like a less desirable choice in hindsight. This approach allows them to generate substantial profits from the A26, which is essentially a repackaged version of the A54, while simultaneously pushing consumers toward the A36 as the more attractive option.

Anonymous, 02 Mar 2025They quietly killed the stereo speakers from the Galaxy A25… 😂Wow. If this is true and not just an error on the spec page, then I guess they really did this to make the A26 not too good of a value and have enough reasons for upselling to the A36. But stereo speakers have been standard on flagships for almost a decade. But then that’s true for wireless charging as well and that is still absent from the mid range of almost all brands.

I thought A25 would be the last device in the A2x series to have a water drop notch. Here we go again

Seems that they are hating LATAM even more than ever... not only Motorola, but Samsung too?
Xiaomi has the golden chance along Honor and Huawei to take that market while tech savies ,who aren't mercenaries, starts to demolish the nerfing on the LATAM market more.

Wow, what a shame for Samsung to bring this nerfed phone to the LATAM market, it would be a great option for the price, now with a chipset even older and weaker than the international version, I hope it is a failure and that Brazilian consumers don't buy it!

                                - They downgraded stereo speakers (A25) to mono speakers (A26)

                                - Battery life seems worse, their website claims 17 Hours of video playback (Whereas A25 had 21 Hours of video playback)

I think almost no phone in the market now is less than 6.1 inches lol

i hate samsung removing headphone jack. atleast they kept the card slot unlike in a56 and a36

I wonder what it will be in 2 years. 7 inch? 8 inch? You can only use that in your home, or if you work from home. Anyone else has to walk around with a phablet.

Well it saves me money. I won't buy any smartphone over 6.1 inch, which is already too big.

Time to move to a gsm, and do everything else with a laptop.
