Just for your information, the newest version of one ui 6.1 takes almost 30gb, but I didn't have a choice to take 256gb in my country. For me 128gb is enough, because I keep my phone relatively tidy. However, if you have such option to get the 256gb and you like to store a lot of media on your phone (or like to have lots of apps installed at the same time) I would say, consider it if you want to keep the phone long term. And remember that no matter which version you get, you can always extend the storage up to 1tb with microsd card slot.

I also monitor exact temperatures in CPU-Z. With thermal guardian set to lowest threshold, I've never ever seen any of thermal sensors go higher than 37°C. And even then, temperatures drop very fast when not in use because of the graphite + vapor cooling. I wonder how the temperatures would be like on A54, but I'm glad Mediatek catched up to the competition.
Before I had a phone with Mediatek helio g90t, somewhat powerful and smooth, but it was an overheating piece of crap constantly going to 45°C when just watching youtube.

Twilight , 27 Mar 2024Can anyone suggest me may i upgrade my a34 to android 14 an... moreAt first, I was hesitant about one ui 6, but I decided to update up to 1st January 2024 patch (next update soon, because almost 3 months passed - hopefully it will be one ui 6.1) and honestly. Battery started to last even longer for me, performance wise it's the same as before, which is good - still no stuttering or anything like that.
Keep in mind however, before proceeding, make sure you start to update when the phone is at normal temperature (below 30°C - or 25°C ideally). I didn't get any green line issue after update, but I took the precautionscbetter anyway, even if the processor is well cooled, than to be sorry later (because the update process can take a bit long - like 30 minutes or so with no way of pausing).

Whoever complains about the small teardrop notch on this phone is just a spoiled, triggered flagship fanboy. They are just mad that people want to have a relatively smooth device (for like what, literally quarter of a flagship price at a good discount right now). Outstanding 1050 geekbench single core score (for such price) and solid 2550 multi core is more than enough for daily use. If you don't mind exynos, check out even their newer devices from A line-up, but personally I do. If it had V-shaped notch, I likely would understand because it eats out some of the visible notification icons, but it's not the case here and so this phone looks more than fine. You might not want to hear it, but just putting the truth out here.

In daily usage (browsing the internet on 120hz), I checked the phone temperatures right now and the CPU-Z app reports that none of the thermal sensor reached even 25°C. This phone has a vapor cooling chamber and the processor for sure is a bit less powerful than sd 778g, but still better than sd 695, can record in 4k 30fps and is more stable and efficient.
