Hard for me t... moreThis undoubtedly bolsters the defiant interests and aligns with the profiting schemes of the company which consumers have long decried up to now. If you conduct a poll on the impact of updates, you will realize that most Samsung fanatics are reeling quietly from the havoc updates have inflicted on their devices. Ranging from sudden battery drains to lags, stutters and worst of it all, thermal issues. Seems to me that it's enough to not update. Read through most of the comments here and you will see that users who keep opting out of updates are doing just fine compared to the vast majority of updates hunters. Everything they put out there serves their purposes even at the detriment of consumers. As I always say, planned obsolescence is an industry practice and updates are the perfect way to execute that.

Hard for me to resist the temptation of installing the one UI 7 which is now expected. Technology evolves with time. I love the A34 which I have used for almost one year now. However, I don't wish to use one phone for 3 to 4 years. Upgrading is a part of progress in life. And of course, phone makers are permitted within reasonable moral and legal limits to employ whatever technological ploys at their disposal to make some money for their efforts.

I have been using my a34 for more than a year now and it rocks. Solid performance all round. Everything still runs as smoothly as day one. Gaming is superb. I play COD at maximum graphics with no lags or stutter. The battery life is excellent. Phone hardly overheats even during long gaming sessions. I play PUBG and efootball as well all at maximum graphics and the phone doesn't cough or lag. Camera is great too. I'm using 128 GB version With 8 GB of ram. No issues whatsoever. My secret? I NI NEVER UPDATE THE PHONE. No security updates and no OS upgrade. I'm still on one ui 5.1 and android 13. The software is still the same a from the factory. My advise? NEVER UPDATE! if you know Samsung, you know what exactly I'm talking about. Planned obsolescence is a well known industry practice. Trust me, all the industry players know this. The many years of OS update they pledge is only meant to turn your phone into brick and crap.

A34 is a very good phone. If you really want to enjoy it for everyday normal use like me (I've been using it for a year now without complaint), try these :
1. Don't set network connection on 5g. Use LTE 4g and lower.
2. Set motion smoothness to STANDARD, not 120hz.
3. Set display to NATURAL, not vivid
4. Set battery to SAVING MODE
5.Set most apps you don't use to DEEP SLEEPING MODE.
6. DISABLE AUTO NETWORKS LOCATORS, locate your networks manually and lock on.
7. Disable or uninstall apps you don't use regularly or need.
These actions will give you a seamless enjoyment of your A34, no heating issues and you will give it longer life. And by the way, use a good silicone case but please no need for a screen protector. The gorilla glass is strong enough. Screen protectors will diminish the smooth performance of the device. I love my A34.
