2 years have passed and this phone is sooo awesome. I haven't had any serious issues with this phone. It was last month when that Samsung moisture detected error at the charger port appeared. I put a piece of paper multiple times in the charging port to absorb the moisture and also brushed lightly with a clean toothbrush in the charging port to remove any dust particles that accumulated for those 2 years. Then the moisture detected error cleared after 1 hour.

Apart from that issue I love the phone

I'm looking to upgrade from this phone. I like it, it has good enough cameras, great speakers (honorable mention) and good enough performance. Unfortunately, after updates there are some hiccups here and there. I made a mistake updating this phone. I learnt my lesson to not update my future phone ever, but now what phone (may be refurbished) should I upgrade to in the budget of 300 $/€ ? I don't want ANY hiccups and lags in the system because it's so irritating. I want the most butter-smooth experience possible with 120hz display or more if possible. Cameras are not a priority, I take a few photos a year unless I'm travelling the world, when free from work. I'm looking at Poco X7 Pro, but I'm not sure if I would like a chinese phone. And that's not to demean our chinese friends - majority of world's tech is assembled there obviously, but rather the fact that I heard that chinese phones are full of ads. Maybe I should get rather Moto Edge 50 Neo. Great camera, build quality and everything, but subpar performance. I like how compact and light it is though, I held it in my hands at my local store. It's almost like base-line Galaxy S series size. I don't know, there's so many options that I'm overwhelmed.

I got into a fire combat - nothing dangerous - but got all washed by water and had to call the fire dpt. while taking water due to wind. Phone got all wet. 5 hours later went to put it to charge - it warned me that the usb power entrance in the phone needed cleaning and blocked its use - i cleaned it and after a reboot all went well.

One of the best phones I ever used, though it's a midrange device but has so much benefits such as good touch adorable screen, great chipset, water/dust resistant, great battery life, fast charging, flagship like software capabilities, etc. I've had mine for a whole year and still functions as if it was bought just yesterday.

                              Ejyksbaba, 05 Feb 2025Can I resist One UI 7? Don't think so. 😂Me too.I can't wait.

                                Hello!
I need to decide between the A25 and the A34, because the price difference is not as much where I live. I cant really afford the A26 or the A35, so these are the best options I have. Which one do you guys recommend, if I don't use the phone for gaming but only for work, camera with decent battery life etc. Which one is smoother and handles updates better?

When I was still on One UI 5, the phone literally never overheated. At least, this phone didn't cost me much - so if I buy a flagship after maybe a year then I will know to never update.

Hard for me t... moreThis undoubtedly bolsters the defiant interests and aligns with the profiting schemes of the company which consumers have long decried up to now. If you conduct a poll on the impact of updates, you will realize that most Samsung fanatics are reeling quietly from the havoc updates have inflicted on their devices. Ranging from sudden battery drains to lags, stutters and worst of it all, thermal issues. Seems to me that it's enough to not update. Read through most of the comments here and you will see that users who keep opting out of updates are doing just fine compared to the vast majority of updates hunters. Everything they put out there serves their purposes even at the detriment of consumers. As I always say, planned obsolescence is an industry practice and updates are the perfect way to execute that.
