anonimus, 27 Nov 2022Is it good for gaming?It is a good phone for gaming but not exceptional. Even though my Samsung Galaxy A52s comes with 8 gigs of LPDDR4x RAM, I prefer my iQOO Z5 over it any day. The Z5 uses the same SD778G of A52s but has faster 12GB LPDDR5 RAM not to mention way faster 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Hence overall performance & fluidity is better. Thermal management of Z5 is much better than A52s, hence achieves more sustained performance. And then you get a bigger 5000 mAh battery and support for 44 watts fast charging with Z5. It lets you go for big gaming sessions with a peace of mind.

All of this comparison takes nothing away from A52s, it has other strong points. But if you are looking just for gaming then Z5 is my eyes is the better option at a cheaper price.

If battery was the issue as you say, you can get free replacement through service center itself. Are you not aware of these facts ? Isolated issues can happen to any device and blaming the entire brand for your misfortune is childish. There isn't any better phone at this price point even now that is another fact.

Battery is quite good for a casual user like me. The camera is very commendable. The only concern for you since youre planning to get one this january is the stocks. Here in the philippnes, its a bit hard to find a52s from samsung stores and even online.

            After 8 month of use, today the device stoped charging. The phone was also bend by it self during the last 3 months of use which got me thinking that the battery was the issue. I have been a samsung user all my life (mid range, budget ones and high up ones), now i feel a bit ''sad'' because i see that this brand is getting less reliable. Reliability on this market today is very important and Samsung is getting far from it. Could you please inform me which brand from android should i consider to change from Samsung.

A52s for jack, SD card, and overall all you need balanced specs & 2y of SW support. 6a for faster chip UFS3.1 with 4k 60fps video, only 6.1" (!!) screen, bit more premium & long support (check yourself).

I... more1) It's xceptional midranger from Samsung & well priced thus still worth buy in Jan mostly for about 2y to keep. Though consider these: SW support ends in less than 2y (gets A14). A54 specs will be known in Jan '23 so check it & compare before buy, may be worth consider though Exynos & pricier.
                          2) Assume 5i batterylife is rather good. Don't expect the same due to A52s' more recent specs with smaller battery. Compared to recent phones, rating is good at least, especially for moderate user so maybe even better. We don't have it 2+ years as you seem to do to tell you that battery info.

                            However, the Samsung beats it in that it has a bigger, faster refresh screen, a 3.5mm jack and an SD card slot. I think the A52s is slightly better.
